As others have noted, the style of decor inside is quirky and appealing. I also agree that the bed is very comfortable. My room definitely wasn’t spacious though. There really wasn’t an obvious place to put the stand with an open suitcase on it, so it was always in the way.||My biggest issues were as follows:|1. One of the reasons I booked the property is specifically because the listing said it has air conditioning. It does, but it isn’t activated unless it’s the warm season. It appears that situation is not exclusive to this property, so I can’t really fault them individually for that, but it would be nice if this was mentioned online. However, when I first opened the door to the room it was like a sauna. No one could have stayed there without airing it out. So, of course that meant opening the window. If you wanted continued air circulation, the window had to stay open. That might have been okay if my room didn’t face a side street that was more like an alley and had a lot of noise from pedestrians and vehicles, which made it difficult to sleep. Once I was awoken by someone going through trash bins and loudly banging the lids. The other concern was that I was on the 1st floor, so I felt a bit uncomfortable with my window open and being relatively close to the street. This brings me to my biggest issue…|2. I felt unsafe. In addition to the open window, my room was in a wing behind a closed door. That means you exited the elevator (or stairs) into a common landing, but then had to go through a door that closed behind you and separated you from the common areas. If a guest from that section had a problem and yelled, I don’t think they would be heard by anyone beyond that door. So, at least I could close that additional bolt/chain that would keep the door to my room closed if someone tried to enter. Except, there wasn’t one. All of these things together meant that I—traveling solo—was uneasy for the entirety of my entire stay.||Little things to be aware of:|Toilet is separate from shower, in a closet next to bed. The wall literally touches mattress by the head of the bed on one side. Sounds? Hmm|No washcloths||To end on some positives, the shower was the nicest part of the room. There is a small safe in the closet. There is a bar in the lobby. The gentleman on duty when I arrived and left was Stan and he was friendly and helpful; very customer service oriented; spoke English fluently. Hotel was extremely convenient to train station. Literally across the street.||I’m torn between a rating of 3 or 4, but since all other reviews are 5 and I’m evidently an outlier, I’ll go with 4. I seriously urge the property to install chains or bolts to doors, at least for rooms behind secondary closed doors. And clarify timing of air...

We have just completed a delightful four-nights stay in the newly renovated Hotel LABE in Tours, France as our base to visit Loire Valley. Everything from the toiletries to the interior decor was hiply designed with modern amenities. We booked the Deluxe Suite which not only offers an ample living space, but it comes with a movie theatre! We were very surprised by its addition, and you will need to experience by yourself the movie chairs which were refurbished. Chromecast is available for movie streaming from our devices.

While the breakfast spread may not be as huge as a resort hotel, the quality was very good - especially the yoghurt, butter and freshly baked bread, all with French origin (which means - delicious)

Location is outstanding - just next to the train station which makes travelling on day trips by train in Loire Valley very easy. Also, there is a self-service laundry just across the street next to the Tourism Information Centre.

Sleep quality was excellent, and there was no evident noise from the train station.

Service was great and friendly, and staying in the same boutique hotel for four nights made it felt like a home away from home, greeted by friendly, familiar faces throughout our stay.

If there is something to take note, because of the original design of this building, we had to climb a short flight of stairs to reach our suite after the lift brought us to the our designated floor. It is not much an issue for us though.

Overall, a very delightful stay in a unique boutique hotel! We would not hesitate to stay here again if our travels bring us to...

Fantastic location! We chose this hotel because we were doing day trips and a few escorted tours. It’s just a 2-minute walk to the train station and about 3 minutes to the Office de Tourisme and 15-20 min to center and most attractions.||We stayed in the largest room, which had a king-size bed with nice bedding—very comfortable. A huge bonus was the private theatre room with six large chairs and an extra-large TV. The room also had coffee and tea facilities, a small fridge, a safe, and plenty of storage space.||The bathroom was spacious with both a shower and a bathtub, plus super soft, oversized towels. Everything throughout the property was very clean.||Breakfast offered a good selection each morning. Ugo was there daily, always friendly and ready to help with anything we needed. Rama at reception warmly greeted us, explained everything about the property, and spoke excellent English. She kindly checked us in on arrival and again checked us out five days later.||Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would absolutely recommend LABE Hotel for its comfort, location, and...

Pleasant surprise in the heart of Tours. Boutique hotel with attentive decoration. Pluses for me: welcoming staff; terrific breakfast (because of the variety and the attention to quality products); the decoration of the rooms, clearly with a lot of thought; how the beds and bathroom are in excellent condition; easy to find, adjacent to the Tours train station (and there seems to be safe public parking nearby). The hotel was renovated so had to work with what was there: this explains why some reviewers mention room size being on the small side; I didn't feel cramped. Some might feel differently, and I should mention that in smaller rooms there isn't a door between bedroom and bathroom. I would also point out that although there's an elevator there are a few stairs and hallways; fits the building but might be something worth mentioning when reserving if you have mobility issues. I've stayed here twice and will put this hotel at top of my list the next time I'm in Tours.

A fabulous overnight stay in this newly refurbished hotel right in the heart of Tours. It's only a stone's throw from Paris and was the perfect treat as we travelled to visit family. The hotel's decor is quirky and exactly the right mix of modern with traditional comforts. The bedroom was immaculate with an outstandingly comfy bed, luxurious bed linen and towels, and a powerful shower. Our room was 'large' and came with complementary dressing gowns and slippers. We had a wonderful night's sleep as the room was extremely quiet with the added benefit of blackout curtains. We enjoyed draught beer and G&Ts in the bar and there was a wide continental breakfast choice, including freshly cooked bacon served by the friendly team. Tours has a lot to offer and our only regret is that we didn't have longer to look around. We'll definitely be back and will be staying for longer next time!
