I wish i could give this 7 stars because i was stunned! I walked in here thinking it would be a normal night but NO, When i orderd my drink they came with a HARRY POTTER CUP! And not to forget what they put inside the cup, i wont spoil anything but i will say "order the citronade/limonade(strawberry)" And the food was very custamizable, you can ask them to add or take away something and they will do it. BUT THAT´S NOT THE BEST PART! Around you(inside) where games play! We played chess, there was a big chess board and a small one sl you can play 2 matches at a time. And the service could not have been better! The waitress could speak English, France and best of all...She could speak a bit of dutch! I have not seen a single restaurant where they know dutch! It´s very fun to see the people around you, interested in your language. And for the waiter, he was very funny, Hey gave me the harrypotter cup and then came back with the sorting hat! We have visited for coffee and breakfast on two occasions. Lovely hot cafe au lait with fresh bread and jam. We also ate at the restaurant in the evening. The menu was creative. Food quality and service excellent. Each item on the menu is thoroughly assessed for all allergens with an easy to follow guide. We had a salad that included fresh and unusual ingredients making it a memorable meal. The wine was also very good. The owners have excellent English. There is a very unusual garden and they offer Champagne tasting too. The restaurant and shop are only a mile and a half from the main campsite which is a lovely walk away from traffic. This place is absolutely beautiful, as are the two owners who have such a passion for the experience they are offering. Second time we have been to France and made sure we came back here to visit. The food is incredible, even complimented by fresh edible flowers from their own garden and everything made fresh for you to enjoy. If you want a unique place with amazing tastes this is the place to go, wonderful outside eating area and tea room. Best dining experience in lac d Orient.
