Unfortunately, my recent visit to McDonald’s in Villefranche Beligny left much to be desired. Though the restaurant itself was clean and orderly, the food and service quality were a significant letdown. The experience began with technical frustrations at the self-service kiosks, where attempts to pay with a bank card were frequently met with error messages. This malfunction turned a simple ordering process into a tedious one.
When it came to the meal, the issues only compounded. The fries were notably subpar—soaked in oil that clearly hadn’t been changed, they were almost impossible to eat. Greasy and heavy, they lacked the crispness expected from a typical McDonald’s fry. The burger, typically a safe bet at this chain, was served cold, which diminished both its flavor and texture. It's clear that attention to freshness and quality control in the kitchen needs to be improved.
On a positive note, the restaurant’s cleanliness was a redeeming factor. However, for a fast-food establishment, food quality and functionality are critical. Unfortunately, the meal failed to meet expectations.

Read moreThis was the worst McDonalds experience ever. We wanted a quick breakfast. 4 McMuffins, 2 orange juice and 1 coffee. We ordered at the McDrive and waited, and waited, nothing. After 10 minutes at the window I went inside, it looked like they forgot about us. When I walked in there was at least 6 staff members in the kitchen. The girls behind the counter all went away as soon as I came up. One did come and said it took long because they were making our order. I saw indeed they were almost ready with the mcmuffins. There were only a few other customers and they were all upset cause it took them forever. After another 15 minutes they finally brought us the food. The food was OK but really 25 minutes for 4 mcmuffins? And the orange juice wasn't even half-full. Like my son said: it should be fast food,...
Read moreAwful - Stopped here for quick lunch. A Double Cheddar cheese and bacon burger and large wedges and a Lait Coffee. The burger and the wedges were cold, the bacon looked like it had been boiled rather than grilled and the cheese was certainly not cheddar, the "large" portion of wedges consisted of about 15 soggy pieces of potatoe with no salt or sauce. The coffee was ok. The arrangements for virus protection seemed ok. The food all went in the car park bin. The staff either took advantage of the fact that I was English and not likely to complain and decided to dump the lunchtime on me or just could not be bothered as the majority of them were sitting round a table in restaurant.
I won't be visiting a Mcdonald's...
