Heard a lot about this restaurant and decided to check it, we made a mistake of visiting the restaurant by 11 o clock late morning, Follow the Google directions you won't find it difficult to find it, parking could be tricky during peak hours but lanes opposite to the hotel can be used to park your car, We found that renovation was going on the ground floor, we went upstairs which has around 20-30 tables, We were disappointed to know that they dont serve Dosa at 11, so if you want to taste their famous dosas make sure you visit before 10 o clock in the morning, We ordered Roti Curry and curd Rice, curd Rice was good but it was not fully fermented, the milky taste was still there, the pickle provide was tasty, Roti curry, a plat of roti curry comes with 4 rotis, dal and veg Gravey, we were provided with Peas Gravey which was very tasty so was the dal they provided, The roti provided was soft and was the best I had in Mysuru. Price wise it was reasonable, all their dishes are priced fairly. Certainly a pocket friendly restaurant. In short, If you want to taste their Dosas be there before 10, make sure you park your car on the by lanes, Taste wise i would give them 8/10 If you are in Mysuru, Don't miss them.

I recently visited Gayatri Tiffin Rooms, and it was a delightful experience overall. The place opened right at 7 am, which was perfect for an early breakfast. I had the pleasure of trying their mouthwatering idli, Masala Dosa, Kesari bath, tea, and coffee. The idli and Masala Dosa were absolutely delightful, bursting with authentic flavors. The Kesari bath was a perfect blend of sweetness and texture, leaving me craving more. The ambiance of the place was pleasant, creating a comfortable dining experience. However, I did encounter some inconvenience with parking as the space for four-wheelers was limited. So, I would recommend arriving early to secure a parking spot. Though the poori and vada were not available during my visit, the other dishes compensated for it. However, I must admit that the taste of the tea and coffee was not up to par, and I felt the quantity was a bit limited. Despite these minor setbacks, I highly recommend Gayatri Tiffin Rooms for their fantastic idli and Masala Dosa alone, and I look forward to trying their other dishes in the future.

Gayatri Tiffin Room (GTR), a vegetarian restaurant located in the heart of Mysore, is a culinary haven for those who cherish authentic South Indian cuisine. Renowned for its delectable array of dishes, GTR has earned a reputation for serving good, yummy food that appeals to both locals and tourists alike. Almost everything on the menu, from the classic masala dosa to the fragrant filter coffee, is exceptional, making every visit a delightful experience for the taste buds. Despite its popularity, which often leads to crowded conditions, the atmosphere remains vibrant and welcoming. The best time to visit is around 8 am, when the kitchen is bustling with fresh preparations, allowing one to start the day with delicious breakfast offerings. The only drawback is the lack of adequate parking for four-wheelers, which can be a minor inconvenience. However, the quality of the food and the overall dining experience at GTR more than compensates for this. It stands out as a must-visit destination for vegetarian food lovers in Mysore.

I had visited the place on sunday. Place was heavily crowded, has self service and not table service. There are tables kept along with chairs where you can sit after receiving your order but it was all occupied by family members who came together and they wouldn't appreciate a stranger sitting along with them so I had to stand and eat. Crowd management is very poor. The servers were rude, took too long to even collect my order token and didn't even bother about things like how long I was waiting etc. Had ordered Masala Dosa for 65 INR which didn't live up to my expectations at all. Though it was crispy, it had no taste of butter whatsoever. Better to try Masala Dosa from places Iike New Mysore Refreshments, Mysore Coffee Bar etc. However, Coffee for 10 INR was good and worth the price.

It's been a while since I wanted to try this place out... Was out early in the morning for some work, while returning happened to pass by GTR. Was not open yet, but was almost time so waited There were a few people including myself who were the first customers of the day.. I was not in mood to eat there so got Masala Dosa and Idli parcel. They didn't give sambar, not that I wanted it but thought I will mention it here.. The packing with Banana leaf and paper was not adequate.. Chutney made the paper wet and tore.. spoiling the experience. Taste of the Masala, Dosa and chutney were all good.. idli however was not how I like it, it was thick and not so fluffy.. Worth a try though.. iconic tindi place in Mysore.. So it's not just about food, it's a lot about the culture too.

GTR is one of the oldest restaurant in mysore and taste is well maintained. Have been visiting this place since my childhood. Great place for South Indian breakfast and evening snacks. Famous for Idli and masala dosa which are very good. Chutney is very tasty here as well. Must try if you are in Mysore. There is a special cabin for family members. Self service with token system for ease of movement. Nice and friendly staff with gentle behaviour. The service is fast and you have ample place to sit. Mangalore bajji (goli) was great, tasty. Tomato rice was good too. Reasonable price. Every Monday will be a holiday. It's will be open from 7 am to 11 am and then again starts reopens from 3:30 pm till 8pm. No parking is available seperatley for cars but bike parking is okay.
