Mysore Shetty Churmuri — Restaurant in Karnataka

Had been there yesterday, The last couple of times I visited this place the taste seems to have changed, it is not what it used to be, Churmuri tastes very bland, hope he brings back the old taste.

While in Mysore searching for a good place to taste churmuri we came upon this, read reviews here and drove to taste their churmuri, it was a Sunday and we couldn't locate this place since we didn't find any shop at the mentioned place,

While returning we found this shop by 19:00 hours they were just opening the shop, it is a typical road side shop with a four wheeled cart made into a road side shop.

It was clean and hygienic for sure, this shop seems to be there from 1956 his son is not law carrying on the business after his dad,

We tasted Churumuri which is puffed rice mixed with oil, various Masala and green chutney along with Shredded Carrot, onion and cucumber,

We tasted Churumuri from various places but this one and the one at Chamundi Hills stood apart, we tasted Churumuri, Nippat Churumuri, pineapple Masala, cucumber Masala, Nippat Masala and Mysore bhel,

Apart from Mysore bhel we absolutely loved the rest, if churuMuri as awesome pineapple was simply delicious!

If you have a chance go there for their Churumuri ask for special Churumuri & pineapple Masala. They have many varieties which we couldn't read from their menu due to the language barrier.

Amazing place for churmuri - the quintessential snack from Mysore. A healthy snack made out of puffed rice, dash of vegetables and interesting spices.

The owner of the food cart, Rangaswamy continues to serve people after his father did for decades together. They have been in business for 60 years and he points that there are loyal customers who have visited this stall for more than 50 years.

He is meticulous, clean and has an excellent sense of balance of flavors. His every dish is served as per the customer's pallette.
