TLDR; Do not eat here. Infested with bugs, rude service.
We came here with our tour guide, and wished we didn't even enter this restaurant. My recent experience here wasn't merely a bad meal; it was a storm of rudeness, casual indifference, and an environment so aggressively unpleasant I feared for my safety and sanity. Let's start with the ambiance and the service. The outdoor seating area was not merely visited by a few bees; it was the active, buzzing headquarters of an insect convention. Upon politely inquiring if we might be moved to a different, a reasonable request considering our very real fear of being stung, we were met with aggressively rude reply by a waitress who was the only one who spoke English "No, there are bees everywhere". No apology, no attempt to find a solution, just a brick wall of hostility. The waitress attitude was a masterclass in how to instantly spoil a dining experience. I have heard about the georgian rudeness but this interaction, their tone and open comtempt seemed directed specifically to us. Where she smiled and spoke nicely to the white people one table ahead of us, we were outright ignored or frowned any time we tried to request something. The racism soured the entire mood far worse than the buzzing bees. It left an incredibly ugly, unwelcome taste in our mouths long before the food even arrived. And speaking of the food: it was... fine. The only thing preventing this review from being a solid zero is that the kitchen staff managed to cook the protein and vegetables to an acceptable temperature not worthy of the...
Read moreIt would’ve been better if we didn’t go to this restaurant. First of all, the service was really bad. Our waiter didn’t know anything about the menu: when I asked him how many milliliters would be in the milkshake he told me that he doesn’t know. The same situation appeared with all the other questions about other dishes! The bean soup wasn’t tasty, but it was still eatable. The dolma was so-so, but the pork kebab was horrible - it was pure fat and no meat! Khinkali with cheese were terrible! The dough was so thick and sticky and there wasn’t so much cheese in them. To make matters worse, our bill was counted wrong. They increased price for one of our dishes, therefore I want to warn everyone who’s reading this review- always check your bill or otherwise you’ll pay more than you have to! All in all, don’t go to this restaurant. I have no idea how it has a 4 star rating and not a 2 star. The only thing that’s good about this place is the view, everything else is not...
Read moreWe didn't eat anywhere else during our 4 nights in Sighnaghi, this place had impeccable service, the smallest wait times of anywhere else we've been in Georgia during our 3 week trip, beautiful views and the BEST food, also so reasonably priced for two budget travellers. We didn't even consider going elsewhere. We spent 20 lari pp to spend the whole day at their infinity pool and bought a litre (which we are quite sure was more like 2) of wine for 10 lari. You really can't go wrong and shouldn't even consider going elsewhere. There's also free cha-cha on the way out (tarragon, lemon and oak.) Misha our waiter was the most hospitable during our 3 week jaunt and is the reason we kept returning. He attended to every need and way always open for an authentic conversation. Just a lovely human all around and we are SO glad we discovered this place. If you're reading this review, you're considering visiting this place, so just do it! We can guarantee you...
