We went here after reading a great online review. I have to admit we were a little disappointed. They did have a menu with English but many of the descriptions were still in Georgian with only the title in English. Our servers spoke very little English, so was not able to assist, however his level of service cleaning the table and preparing us for the next course was excellent. The Best Dish we had was the tomato and cucumber salad with walnut dressing. I'm not normally a huge fan of walnuts but the sauce was excellent. We have one of the specialties of the house which was veal with anise. It was very bristling there was too much broth and it wasn't very flavorful. We have mushroom soup a number of times while we were here in Georgia and this was our least favourite more like chicken soup with button mushrooms. We also ordered the ribs and although I really enjoyed the source the beef ribs were very fatty and bristly with very little meat. the restaurant itself is very nice hard wooden tables and benches but with large rooms and...
Read moreIt used to be the best place in town about 4-5 ears ago. Now, it is unpleasant, unprofessional eatery. We waited 2.5 hours for khinkaly, every time we asked, stuff were telling us that it’s going to be ready in 10-15 mins max. At that end, they were over spicy and we could not even finish half of it. We were with a big company, about 12 people and wanted to sit inside with air conditioning, we even found a table, but the waiter told us it was reserved. We had to sit on the balcony with mosquitoes eating us while we were waiting for food. By the time we left, somewhere at 11pm(about 4 hours since arriving), the table inside was untouched and no one occupied it. Seems like stuff just did not want to prepare the table for us. There was many other details, such as, we got ordered dressings only when we finished the meal, so no one even tried them, and many other small minuses. But the general vibe was not nice and we left unsatisfied. I hope, the place will take notes and improve in the future. For now, do not...
Read moreIt was nice to return to this cute, pleasant but, unfortunately, poor (like our whole country) city and it was nice to visit this restaurant again after 7 years. Everything here is almost the same as I remembered during the first visit with my wife and friends. During two visits we tried quite a few dishes and they were all delicious. Although, now it seems that some dishes have decreased in size. The service is quite consistent with a provincial city, although in many our metropolitan restaurants the service is even more sluggish. Prices, unfortunately, as elsewhere and for everything in our country, are growing here too. Here you can try almost all local dishes, as well as almost all dishes from all regions of Georgia. It's cozy, the interior is well-decorated and pleasant. It's pretty quiet and cool here. This is a...
