Forckenbeck — Restaurant in Aachen

Delicious, simple straight in your face dishes. Fast service and a nice decor. This restaurant is a gem in the western part of Aachen. I keep coming back for their burger which is a great classic. Also, I'm a big fan of their homemade mayonaise, it's something I miss at most places when ordering a burger with fries.

As for the prices, they are doable. Not the lowest, neither the highest in Aachen. But last time I got a burger here, which is made with 100% fresh ingredients by the way, I got my food faster than at McDonalds! And this is not a fast-food restaurant... so keep that in mind next time you want food as fast as possible and you happen to...

Food was very nice and came in reasonable time. Atmosphere nice. One can sit inside or in the yard. Dishes were nice and delicious. Friday afternoon it wasn’t that busy and so was a relaxing environment.

But welcome wasn’t there. The waiter wearing glasses, was quite out of mood. We asked about the menu a few times and he was already whispering: You could check the menu better! He certainly doesn’t like the job he is doing. Then we ordered Martini Rosso and he brought Bianco. We asking are you sure this is Rosso and he says yes! We asked the other waiter and he replaced it with the right one! You think the frowny waiter came and said...

If you are looking for Fine casual dining with a lovely outdoor ambience then go no further (inside is available). Set on the Uni campus and frequented by academia, students and locals alike it’s a great spot to enjoy an evening wine and good company. Parking is readily available - something not so easy here in Aachen. I particularly enjoyed the signature rump steak, great atmosphere and really efficient service. But note... they don’t take cards. They said Debit was OK but it did not...
