OG Chickn — Restaurant in Aachen

I didn't get to personally thank the owner and staff properly today so I shall write a review here! My bestie took us to OG Chicken today for lunch after raving to us about it for a while and it was one of the best experiences I ever had for korean food in GERMANY. And let me tell you, I have eaten in plenty of korean restaurants/Imbisses till now that are in NRW and in my proximity (Köln/Düsseldorf). This place is by far the best and tops them all. The portion size was really good for the price and the taste was heavenly. We ordered chicken nuggets with 2 types if sauces, hybrid k-dog, tteokbokki (we got the small portion but even that was pretty big so I can't imagine how the big portion looks like!!), picked radish, vegan nuggets and even a vegan k-dog. (Mind you, it is all halal). It was a delicious experience. The interior is really nice and cozy, the toilets are clean, the service is multilingual (German, English and Arabic). It was such a lovely experience. I will definitely come again! The food is so good makes you forget you traveled 2 hours for it 🤣

Chicken is the best. Ive been buying it almost every other week for 3 months. I‘m however disappointed with the inconsistency of the products.

I usually buy wings & filets, but i tried nuggies out of curiosity once and got large upper thigh pieces and was very satisfied. But the second time around, it mainly consisted of the skin and chicken tail part which was very revolting. I never bought nuggies again.

For chicken wings, the quantity did reduce, i remember getting 8 pieces in the beginning, and its down to 6, not really complaining, just assumed it was some kind of promotion in the beginning. Because of this, i had to upgrade my size preference from medium to large since medium wasnt enough anymore.

It also applies to the filets. But just yesterday, even when i buy a large box of filets, most pieces were tiny I just cant justify spending 25€ on those 20 small pieces. Maybe this experience will teach me to stop craving...

Used to be one of the best Restaurants I've ever been to. But recently they've developed a habit of making the chicken pieces too big causing some pieces to be soggy/raw with not enough batter on them. Also they effectively halfed the portions on some of their dishes :( Also half of the employees are not good at their job doing things such as whipping out a calculator when trying to pay. Either that or they're not competent at the basic etiquette of working in a service environment in general. I'm not writing this review to throw shade at OG Chickn but rather in hopes of this reaching the owner so that this place can become a 10/10...
