Positives: Portion sizes Price Location for Nurburgring visitors
Negatives: Everything else.
We booked a table for 14 people and from the moment we walked in, we felt like a burden. There are no physical menus which is not helpful when you're struggling with phone signal and/or the wifi doesn't work, or you're not particularly adept with technology. Ordering was an ordeal; you need to provide the menu number for the item you want, and this was frequently misunderstood by the waiter., resulting in incorrect orders.
We were given no cutlery, and had to ask multiple times. When it did arrive, it was only about half as much as we needed. Food arrived haphazardly and many orders were wrong. One member of our party did not receive his order at all. No pizza cutters were provided, which along with no cutlery, was not helpful.
The best thing I can say about the food itself was that it was plentiful. It was fine, but not exactly gourmet quality.
Service was, in general, atrocious and abrupt, assuming we were actually able to get hold of a waiter.
When challenged at the end, one of their excuses was the size of our party and that it was "busy". If you didn't want to cater for a group our size, why take the booking? We wouldn't have been offended had you told us on the phone that you don't cater for large groups.
We won't be back, and we won't be...
Read moreIf you’re in or around Adenau and craving authentic, satisfying Italian food, Pinocchio is a must-visit. Nestled in this quiet Nürburgring town, this cozy spot delivers big on flavor and even bigger on portions.
We ordered the Farm Salad, and it was a refreshing surprise – crisp, cool, and the perfect balance to the rich mains. A light starter that really hit the spot, especially in the sweltering 30°C heat outside (and inside – be warned, it does get quite warm in the restaurant during summer).
Then came the pizza – a 60cm monster. It’s hard to overstate the sheer size of it, but it wasn’t just about volume. The pizza was deliciously moist, loaded with flavor, and incredibly filling. Perfectly baked with a thin yet sturdy base, it held up well even as leftovers – which, trust me, you’ll probably have. Portions here are huge, so don’t be shy about asking for a doggy bag.
The staff deserve a special mention – friendly, welcoming, and very helpful, even during a busy, hot day. It adds to the homey, unpretentious atmosphere that makes Pinocchio such a pleasant dining experience.
Whether you’re into pizza, pasta, or just generous, hearty Italian food, Pinocchio in Adenau is absolutely worth the stop. Come hungry – and maybe bring a fan if it’s summer! Please note...
Read moreThis is an update of my original Rating of three stars, which was fair for the food and service. It was allright, and allright gets 3 stars.
So, today, 8 months, after I´we been there with 3 other friends I recieved an email that my review is gonna be erased by Google because the owner filed a complaint that I hurt the Owners personal rights!! What the actual ....? Because of three stars.?? So what you´re telling me that, instead of getting better, so that in future you get more better ratings, you resort to reporting reviewers that actually said nothing wrong or false, because you don´t like what they said and it hurt your feelings? Oh, but you took our money allright! SHAME ON YOU!!
The fact that you did this, shows that you have no respect for your customers, and I hope a lot of people see this post and think twice before going to your restaurant. I never wrote such review like this now, and when I do write one, I try to be fair and objective, but you...
