Café Am Kloster Konditorei — Restaurant in Alpirsbach

Oh wow! Hated the fact we could only choose 1 cake each, looking at the size of it! The decor is very clean and traditional, cozy music and plants inside, lovely terrace outside. The waiter kindly explained every single cake to us (in English), and we finally chose Black Forest - hard to go wrong, heavy cherry liquor and thick cream, chocolate shavings on top, lovely! Puff pastry light sponge cake - very light and creamy, not at all sweet; Spanish orange cake - this is probably my fav!! Bitter and sweet, with strong strong orange liquor, crunchy nuts on the side, perfect experience and very reasonable...

Sadly the waitress forgot to process our order and after complaining we got something to trink after more than three-quarters of an hour. She then told us that our food will be prepared now, we told her that we can just wait ten more minutes because we had to leave for the abbey tour. After another twenty minutes of waiting we left the restaurant without having food and they were heading after us because we didn't pay for the drinks (which we didn't touch) and the food. This is not how you treat your customers, better make the restaurant self...

Beautiful cafe that served a variety of cakes that all looks really delicious and would definelty eat there again, took myself a Halloween cake during the season was definelty really good was really tempted to the black Forest cake too but that one piece was already so much so I saved that temptation to next time 🥰 the outside view of the cafe is also super nice and chill the benches next to the back entry really give it a vibe to the cafe would definelty come for another...
