We dined here twice last week while vacationing in the Bad Aibling area. The food was amazing! Our group of four tried a variety of items - pizza, tagliatelle with salmon, risotto with prawns, saltimbocca, minestrone soup, bruschetta, and penne del diabolo, and insalata mista. The food was very fresh, the portions generous, and the plates artfully presented. A big bonus to dining here is the service and the atmosphere. We were able to sit outside on warm summer evenings and the owner was welcoming, very friendly, and made a point to try to connect with us in our broken German, Italian, and English. Food was good, service was noticeably lacking and unpleasant as the owner made us a (party of 4) feel truly unwelcome and out of place because as he emphasized “he only speaks Italian and German….” And clearly selective German … since one in our party was fluent. Then, after we had been neglected by him… when we signaled and asked a third time for our “rechnung” he looked and said “what no cash?” Cash only! We gather the cash a paid. Read moreWe had the most wonderful lunch here. Though we arrived shortly before the kitchen closed they welcomed us with great joy and gave us an exceptional experience. The decor is beautiful and very comfortable, the food was perfection (amazing pizza crust and a perfect Aperol spritz were highlights) and the service was friendly, quick, and made my daughters feel like the stars of the show.
