Hotel Goldner Anker — Restaurant in Bad Elster

My fiance and I stayed here at the Goldener Anker, and we had the best time. Everything was clean and comfortable. Our room was spacious, and the bathroom appeared to be recently remodeled. There was a large spotless shower, along with updated fixtures throughout. Room service was very helpful, as was the entire hotel staff. ||The food was amazing. We ate all three meals here each day during our stay. The breakfast buffet has a wonderful selection of foods and drinks to choose from. I was also very pleased with the juices and fresh fruit. The sweet hotel owner came to our table, asked how we liked our eggs cooked, and then prepared us each a fresh plate of cooked eggs every morning. Absolutely charming!||The restaurant downstairs has the best food that I have ever eaten. I strongly recommend the schnitzel, as I ate it on at least three separate occasions. ||I also recommend that you sit outside to eat, if the weather permits. The hotel/restaurant sits right on the pond, and you have the most beautiful view from the deck. ||Overall, this was the best vacation of our lives. Leider müssen wir uns den vielen negativen Kommentaren der Vergangenheit anschließen und können das Haus Goldener Anker auf keinen Fall weiterempfehlen. Auch hier wurden wir von der unfreundlichen blonden Servicekraft zum !!!Muttertag !!! empfangen/ zum Bedienen kam es zum Glück erst gar nicht. Die Terrasse war zum Nachmittag sehr überschaubar besucht. Im Innenbereich war kein Gast. Wir hatten den fatalen Fehler begannen, dass wir im Restaurant noch auf unsere ältere Mutti und auf den Fahrer gewartet hatten und so noch nicht sagen konnten, ob wir einen Tisch auf der Terrasse oder im (leeren) Innenbereich nehmen wollen. Ich entschuldigte mich höflich und verwies darauf, noch kurz auf beide Familienangehörige warten zu wollen. Blöderweise war es der Servicekraft ein Dorn im Auge und es kam ein patziges " Na, was ist denn nun ?! Wissen´s Sie es nun ?" Nachdem wir vollzählig waren, nahmen wir an einer der Tische platzt. Die Bedienung erblickte uns und kam genervt, arrogant und lustlos auf uns zu. Ein freundliches " Schönen Guten Tag " kam leider nicht über ihre Lippen, dafür mussten wir erklären, warum wir einfach an dem Tisch platz genommen haben. Gern wären wir einer netten Aufforderung zum Wechsel nachgekommen. Dies blieb aus. Mein Lebensgefährte fragte die Dame, ob den alle Gäste so unhöflich bedient werden. Darauf kam ein : "Ja, bitte. Dann müssen Sie gehen. Tschüss". Ich fragte nach dem Chef/Chefin des Hauses. Nun stellte sich zu allen Entsetzen heraus, SIE WAR ( angeblich) DIE CHEFIN. Wir waren entsetzt, da mein Lebensgefährte und ich beide langjährig, selbstständig in der Dienstleistungsbranche arbeiten und so mit unseren Kunden nie umgehen würden. Nachdem ich zum Abschluss fragte, ob eine negative Google Bewertung sein müsse, kam ein nüchternes : " Wir haben unsere Stammkunden- das ist uns egal...das reicht". Wir empfehlen daher der " angeblichen Chefin" des Hauses dringend ein Coaching in diesem Bereich oder besser doch einen Bürojob nachzugehen ( möglichst ohne Kundenkontakt ). Unseren Bekannten und Freunden geben wir den Erfahrungsbericht gern weiter mit einigen sehr guten Empfehlungen in Bad Elster, welche nur wenige Minuten vom Goldenen Anker...
