You'll have gathered from the predominance of reviews in German that this place doesn't get too many English-speaking visitors. This is a shame, as the area is very beautiful, there are many outdoor pursuits on offer, and this family-owned hotel offers comfortable accommodation with a great bar and restaurant. Not much English is spoken, but we got by with broken German, and several members of staff were happy to try their English on us. The rooms were big and well appointed, in a fairly spartan, central-European sort of way, but the location is quiet and we enjoyed peaceful sleep. The breakfast was generous and hearty. Located very centrally, the hotel has a bar and restaurant that are both worth spending time in. The restaurant has several house specialities, mostly based upon the schnitzel and consistently good. We thoroughly enjoyed our week here (28th August to 4 September 2016), being so well looked after by the Riemann family and team. The hotel looks so nice, inside and out, and our bedroom was very comfortable. Breakfast and dinner were plentiful and always quite delicious, the dinner having 3-courses (with a choice of main course, including seasonal specialties).||The hotel is ideally situated for: gentle strolls in the beautiful park just across the road by the River Oder; more ambitious hikes up the surrounding hills; shopping in the High Street or a visit to Tourist Information - these last only 2 minutes walk.||Our stay coincided with a spell of excellent weather and a special pleasure was to relax on the terrace in front of the hotel with a pre-dinner drink of beer or wine.||Best wishes to the Riemann family and team.
