ok, this was the surprise shock of our 10 days away around Europe, we stopped at a local hotel that wasn't serving food and they recommended this place, we just went with it and thank the stars it was the right decision.
3 things make this place, the food is to die for and quite possibly the best I have eaten in years, my better half had tuna to start, which was amazing, I had a broth with marrow in that was out of this world, however better was to come! I had the Schnitzel and she had the venison, which was quite frankly sublime, pictured! we didn't have desert but I imagine that would have been along the same level!
Second was the wine, oh my goodness, absolutely spot on, which you would expect given the region, but this was matched to the food by the third and possibly most important part of our meal, our head waiter, maitre D or host, because he was amazing, I cannot for the life of me remember his name but he was so knowledgeable and friendly and funny that he was a massive and integral part of enjoying our meal.
Book and go if you get the chance, we absolutely loved...

Great meal! We had the onion Roast and the Venison. Both were excellent, and while not inexpensive, each dish was a full meal with veggies, etc. no need to order a separate salad. The homemade bread with dipping sauces was excellent, though, as an appetizer. The onion Roast is pictured, plus a sunset we saw on the walk back...

Wir waren inzwischen zweimal in dieser wunderbaren Weinstube – und jedes Mal wurden unsere Erwartungen übertroffen. Die Küche ist kreativ, raffiniert und voller Überraschungen. Besonders in Erinnerung geblieben ist uns die Thai-Suppe mit Jakobsmuschel – eine geschmackliche Offenbarung, die fein ausbalancierte Aromen mit erstklassigen Zutaten verbindet.
Die Weinauswahl ist ebenso beeindruckend: durchdacht, vielfältig und von echten Kennern zusammengestellt. Man merkt sofort, hier wird Wein nicht einfach nur serviert – hier wird er zelebriert. Dazu ein Service, der aufmerksam, herzlich und angenehm unaufdringlich ist – genau die richtige Mischung, um sich rundum wohlzufühlen.
