I had the pleasure of dining at China Restaurant Sichuan in Berlin, and it was an exceptional culinary journey. This restaurant offers a true taste of Sichuan cuisine, known for its bold flavors and unique combinations of ingredients.
The standout feature of this restaurant is undoubtedly its dedication to authenticity. From the moment I walked in, I felt like I had been transported to Sichuan. The ambiance, decor, and even the music created a genuinely immersive experience.
Now, let's talk about the food. The menu is a testament to the rich culinary traditions of Sichuan. I started with the Kung Pao Chicken, which had just the right balance of spiciness and savory flavors. The Sichuan Hot Pot was a true highlight of the meal, an interactive and delightful experience shared with friends.
One dish that I would highly recommend is the Mapo Tofu. The silky tofu combined with the fiery minced meat sauce is an explosion of flavors in your mouth. It's a must-try for those who appreciate authentic Sichuan cuisine.
The service at China Restaurant Sichuan was impeccable. The staff was knowledgeable about the menu and provided excellent recommendations. They were attentive without being intrusive, adding to the overall positive dining experience.
In summary, China Restaurant Sichuan is a hidden gem in Berlin for anyone seeking a genuine Sichuan culinary adventure. The authenticity of the food, immersive ambiance, and top-notch service make it a destination for food enthusiasts. If you're looking to explore the bold and flavorful world of Sichuan cuisine, this restaurant is an absolute must-visit. Read moreI went here with my Chinese girlfriend and I was amazed by the tofu. It's so soft and tasty that you definitely should try it. The stuff is nice and will ask you when you ask them, so don't wait for them to come to your table every minute (there are many people I know that expect that, but I find it uncomfortable, so it's a big positive point for this restaurant). The prices are affordable, I don't want to say cheap but it's definitely affordable for anyone (I'm a student, trust me). They will also give you a doggy bag in case you need it! They will ask you if you liked the food and they are really open to hear real reviews (like, "I liked this one a lot, but this one had too strong flavours for me"), but don't expect they will change anything for you, they are open to improve and I like it. P.s.: the only problem I can find it's that it's really far away from any center in Berlin, so if you are looking for a cosy dinner in a cosy night this place is great, because the neighborhood it's incredible quite and chilled. Definitely bring your partner, you should eat together as much as possible and don't worry,...
Read moreExcellent Sichuan restaurant with great interior design, generous servings, friendly staff and affordable price. I especially like the fu qi fei pian and kou shui ji for appetizers and typical Sichuan dishes like mao xue wang and shui zhu yu. The gan guo (dry pot) dishes are also very tasty, and the "small" portions are already quite big. You can tell the staff to adjust the spiciness accordingly, but be more precise whether you want 0 spiciness or still some spiciness. In addition, they also serve a free appetizer (most of the time), and a mocktail...
