Dujardin — Restaurant in Berlin

I had really bad and not so nice experience at this place.

I arrived at the cafe at 14:40 Sunday, sit down, ordered mint tea and opened my laptop. At 15:00, blonde waitress (in her late 30s) that served me tea when I just arrived, approached me to say "It's Sunday, you know, laptops are not allowed after 15:00. My boss doesn't like that."

I was so surprised, as there was no any sign that says "LAPTOPS ARE NOT ALLOWED AFTER 15:00" that everybody should be aware of, so quietly approaching guests in discomfort won't be necessary. Or if someone missed the sign, there would be sign (that goes for everybody) to point to so guests doesn't feel uncomfortable, targeted, and under impression they are not welcomed and that they are occupying space and should leave.

To mention, that other people were on their phones, some had books and papers on the table and were doing their stuff that way.

I said to the lady that this is not nice, and why there is no sign or visible general rule about laptop policy on Sunday, so people would save themselves of bad experience. She said, while being rude, there is no sign, I told you in person, if you don't understand I can't help you and don't care, you can call my boss if you want.

I'm really disappointed with terrible experience...

1 Star is even too much. The bar is really nice, but the owner of this place is the most unfriendly person ever. We had to wait at least half an hour to be able to order (even though it wasn´t so full). The owner, who was also at the service that day, was really rude towards my friend because her bottle of water was placed below the table. Literally no one could see it, she didn´t want to leave it on her bike. He took the bottlevery rudely in front of everybody and loudly said “keine mitgebrachte getränke in meiner Bar”. I really like this place but I have had enough of being overcharged ( twice by up to 10€) almost every time I go there. The staff don't seem to keep proper records of what you order. I've been overcharged at least 5 times im aware of and 3 out of 5 I let it pass out of not wanting to cause a scene and feeling embarrassed. Other friends who go have also reported the same rip off. I am not sure it's a mistake anymore and am beginning to believe it is daylight robbery. If you visit, check what you pay very carefully.
