I was very intrigued reading so many excellent reviews for this restaurant. Even some of the best restaurants in the city have less stars on Google and less exciting reviews. Upon arriving on a Saturday evening, we were surprised to see only four people in the restaurant, occupying two tables. Every restaurant has a slow day, but the reason for this one would soon become clear. We waited a bit long to get any kind of attention or even the menu at first. But that's fine. We ordered three different main courses, and some olives to have with the wine at the beginning. After about half an hour we realised we never got the olives. I reminded the waitress and she promptly brought them to the table. I have never in my life tasted such bland and hard olives. We each ate two and had to leave the rest sitting there. Finally after some more waiting the food came. At this point we were still excited to have great food and did not particularly have a bad impression of the restaurant. I had the Penne all'Arrabbiata with Buffalo Mozzarella. The sauce did not have an iota of hotness to it or anything resembling such a taste. It was however full of large onion slices. The Mozzarella was good, although I doubt they produce it themselves. The pasta itself I assume was okay, it was hard telling with the sauce. The worst thing however, was that the plate was covered with very finely cut parsley. I love parsley, but I have never tasted a worse combination of anything edible in my life. It made eating the Mozzarella and the pasta absolutely unbearable. Any kind of taste remaining in the dish got overpowered by a bitter taste of parsley. I can not for the life of me understand why they did not use basil instead or just left it as is. I tried removing the parsley but it was everywhere. I had to stop about half way through. My friend ordered the same thing and was appalled as well. The third dish at our table was an Argentinian roastbeef. I'm not going to go into detail of the whole dish, but if you, without any instructions (there was no question as to how done the beef should be cooked), bring a steak pretty much cooked through you've already lost any kind of sense for food as a cook. I tried it, and it was dried out and not good at all. It doesn't matter which kind of steak it is, if you cook it like this. The risotto I did not try, so I will not comment. All in all, I would recommend staying away. I don't understand where the reviews come from, there must have been some big changes. The service was slow, even though no one was there, things got forgotten, the food was not good and the...
Read moreWe booked a table for 2 people on a Saturday night. When we arrived we spoke to the waiter who told us to sit where we wanted: the restaurant was fairly quiet. After quite sometime of nobody bringing us a menu we went to get it ourselves from the bar. When the waiter eventually arrived we explained we had been ignored: he said "I didn't even see you come in" but we explained he was the one who seated us, he then apologised, and brought us free olives and bread. There were 4 main dishes to choose from, 1 penne, 1 risotto, 1 seafood pasta and a ragu. We had the latter 2 and both were lovely but the portions were a bit small for the nearly €20 price tag. There was only one dessert available which we didn't try. We ordered a bottle of wine, Nero d'Avola, but it came in a different wine bottle altogether, so even if the wine was nice it left us a bit confused (and we are sure it was Nero d'Avola because it was stated in the bill). The decor was nice but the restaurant was very quiet for a Saturday night. Both pastas tasted very good, but unfortunately the experience was very strange and underwhelming. I'm afraid we would not recommend...
Read moreUnfortunately I was very disappointed:( Despite the high rating of the restaurant, I didn't like the taste of the food at all. The pasta was only edible, nothing more. We ordered two ragu pasta and they brought bread with it. So if there is no olive oil, what is the point of bread? Also ridiculously expensive for what you get. The prices don't match neither the food nor the atmosphere, so these high prices don't make sense to me. The staff were very friendly and the...
