Nahkauf — Local services in Berlin

In the area it's the only supermarket closing Mon. to Sat. at 23.00...and I find this extra hour very useful, particularly on Saturday evening, when you realize you miss some groceries. A last hour saviour, especially for the next day food for my cat and dog...(difficult to find a Sunday späti in Neukölln with pets food) It's very well organized, and you find everything as a Rewe, also the Ja! and Best Rewe range of products (same company), but it is more reliable and organized than it's neighbour sister (Rewe), and have always some good offers and discounts on different products. A flat sliding door fridge has every times some must go food at a very reduced price, sometimes you find good stuff for half the price, from cheeses to wurst...different stuff every time. Today it was a 200gr Gruyère at half price. An up level range of smoking supplies, papers, filters for all kind of smokers is there at the casse. Also another good point, and also before the casse, a big window fridge with a lot of cold drinks, sodas, etc., cold and at supermarket price! Note that ;) The guys at the casse are always easy and with a smile. Yep, it's a good supermarket. Well...

Going there since 5 years and still feeling controlled and not welcome. They can't speak a word in english and don't like who can't speak good german. Always try to put people in uncomfortable situation. Finally, it happened different times that the final amount of the shopping was wrong, more expensive and of course I showed 'em and got my money back. I will try to do not go there anymore, hard cause it's the closest to my flat,...

My go-to supermarket. Even better than a normal-sized REWE, they seem to have more variety and good products, also bio.

Lacks maybe a bit in the vegan product department or refrigerated foods. However, they have unpackaged goods as well! (Grains, pasta, cereal, etc.)

It’s just very annoying that the Pfandabgabe denies half of the bottles I bought there that actually do have Pfand.
