Kentucky Fried Chicken — Restaurant in Berlin

It was the 3rd of August in the year of our Lord 2025. A comfortable yet cloudy day, with a threat of rain not far off.

I stumbled in from a long weekend with an old friend after she sold me on the idea of the new Naan chicken Burger offer.

Hailing from the excrementious Isle of Britain, I couldn't refuse the suggestion. So I fully embraced the journey from Eichbourndamm to the location with great gusto.

There was a weise full of insects, a Witches cottage, and a small village like street surrounded by the typical Berlin apartments of the Old 'French Sector'.

The food was amazing, warm, crunchy, moist bird flesh and succulent texture on the tongue.

But I was aghast to realise that my true purpose of going to KFC that day was the revelation of The Chicken Queen.

I must say one of the reasons the food was so good that day was not my burning hunger, nor my nauseating hangover, no Sir. But the happiness of the staff as they went about the trials of a busy Sunday evening.

I took once flipped a burger, spun a pizza, drenched crafted potato batons in hot oil. I sympathised with the workers. And there she was, The Chicken Queen l, The Jewell in the Colonels crown.

A marvelous and beautiful woman. I will never forget her and the jolly atmosphere she shared with her colleagues and the mesmerising way she handle the produce with her red tongs.

I just went there today at 10:03am while ordering the guy taking my order yelled at me for not being able to speak or understand German. He told me to roll up to the window and then proceeded to speak perfect English to me and told me next time to go in the store. I asked him if he was having a bad morning and he apologized to me and stated that he wasn’t a morning person and doesnt like to speak English in the morning which i was fine with and told him its okay and i was going to let it go, but as i arrived home and was about to drink my drink i seen black spots on my lid so that made me open my drink just to look for some reason before taking a sip and when i did i seen black stuff floating everywhere in my drink. Im goad i caught it before drinking it but this made me wonder if something wrong was also done to my food because i upset the worker so much with by just not understanding or being able to...

Wir waren am Freitag, den 07.12.2018 gegen 20:00 Uhr bei diesem KFC.

Personal war an sich freundlich, konnte nur nicht richtig deutsch und man musste einiges mehrfach wiederholen, trotzdem wurde vieles nicht verstanden.

Wir waren mitunter die einzigen in diesem Restaurant und haben etwas zum mitnehmen bestellt. Die versprochene/bezahlte Süß Sauer Soße zu dem Bucket wurde nicht mit rein getan, ja darüber kann man hinweg sehen. Wir hatten auch noch einen Wrap mit KÄSE bestellt, dieser dann zuhause ausgepackt wurde und er ohne Käse war (obwohl man es mehrfach gesagt hat und sie es in die Kasse eingetragen hat und nochmal nachgefragt hatte.) Uns wurde auch bestätigt, dass der Käse darauf sei.

Die Bedienung war komplett überfordert und sie war nicht im Training (also in der ‚Ausbildung‘). Sehr langsames arbeiten und ein Gesicht gezogen als wenn sie 3 Tage durcharbeiten müsste.

Ich habe auch schonmal in so einer Branche gearbeitet und weiß wie es ist, aber der Kunde ist König und immer schön freundlich lächeln, auch wenn man mal einen schlechten Tag hat. Sich die Bestellungen nochmal anschauen und durch gehen was man schon rein gepackt hatte und was nicht.

Der Küche vielleicht auch nochmal Bescheid geben oder fragen ob da auch wirklich Käse drauf ist oder nicht.

Wenn man sagt z.B. ohne Tomaten und da dann Tomaten drauf sind, man aber eine Allergie hat ... ist es rausgeschmissenes Geld.

Es sollten schon motivierte Bedienungen an den Kassen sein, egal wie schwer der Tag ist/war (wie gesagt ich kenne es selber). Schön und gut das auch anders Sprachige Bedienungen an die Kassen gehen oder auch eingestellt werden, aber es wäre sehr nett, wenn diese auch gut deutsch könnten. Es gibt Menschen die nicht so kulant und ruhig bleiben.
