The worst experience for food and service! First of all they are not even Italian! Albanian or something… (still I believe you can deliver good pizza not being an Italian!!!) But: 1- pizza is awful! If you don’t have real parma prosciutto to put on pizza just call it Schinken! Pizza Salami was also bad! I couldn’t finish my pizza! 2- they were very late by service even though we were one of the two costumers there! 3- bad attitude! Not even a smile! 4- the worst thing about the place was: when I went to pay, (with card) he put the price on the machine and turns the machine to me and say: “tip” without a please or if you like to! When he saw me confused he sad: “tip! Tip!” Then I asked if the price in the Rechnung is not covering the tax and … he says! “No! Rechnung is separate! Tip is minimum 5%!” I told him I am not going to pay any tip because I was not happy with pizza or the service! As you can see we could not even finish it! He says! In Germany you must pay tip! And to my surprise he got annoyed and put only the price of Rechnung finally in the machine! I paid the amount and I told him I live here in Germany for many many years now! And I know that paying tip is not a must!

Optically really a nice restaurant. Table clothes. Properly dressed waiters who were nice. Music, well... For those who feel the dolce far niente when they listen to "ti amo" three times per hour, it's a good spot.
But mainly at least I go to Italian restaurants for the food. My partner had a carbonara. It was nicely presented but the egg-peccorino sauce wasn't really cooked by the noodles (which are supposed to come straight out of the cooking pot on order to sort of suck the sauce). Unfortunately there was much uncooked or almost raw egg on the ground of the dish.
The pizza I had was optically okay. They use small mozzarella pieces. The dough was properly cooked. Almost no tomato sauce, so it was really dry. And... The salami was horrible. Like German Cervelat-Wurst, but not what I expect when I order a real Italian pizza. Besides my knife just couldn't cut the rand.
Ah. I forgot. Everything started with a greeting from the kitchen. Slightly burned bread with red-beet-Ricotta. Nice, but not a mouthwatering dish.
Altogether in my eyes overrated, although it's a clean, proper restaurant. Prices are really fair. I conclusion I think the s should focus more on their core competences which is an amazing way of cooking good quality...

In Berlin-Pankow scheint es nicht wirklich viele brauchbare Restaurants oder italienische Restaurants zu geben, weshalb die Bewertung wohl auch überschwänglicher Ausfallen. (Nach einer Renovierung und wohl neuen Bewirtung scheint es dieser Gegend gut zu tun. Das vorherige Lokal war nicht so einladend und gut besucht.. )
Service Fand ich vollkommen okay und nichts auszusetzen. Der Laden war innerhalb der Woche um 18.00 Uhr im Innenbereich komplett reserviert (trotz sehr schönem Wetter). im Außenbereich waren noch 2/3 Tische frei, welche sich umgehend auffüllten.
Die Getränke kamen für die Fülle des Ladens recht zügig und wir wurden während des Essens und auch vor -und nachher immer mal wieder angesprochen, ob alles weiterhin zufriedenstellend ist.
Essen Für meinen persönlichen Geschmack könnte es mehr Pizza Auswahl geben. Die Karte scheint aber auch immer ein wenig saisonal angepasst zu sein, weshalb dort Variationen zu erwarten sind. Pizza hatte eine gute Größe (kann aber für meinen Geschmack/Hunger) noch größer sein und Pasta war auch mal was anderes und wohl selbst gemacht.
Ebenso wird immer eine Tageskarte ausgehängt und angepriesen. Beide Vorsuppen (Kartoffelsuppe und Minestrone) waren sehr gut und frisch zubereitet. Minestrone war kein Abfallgemüse sondern wirklich frische Ware und diese Suppe war ausgezeichnet.
Preise Für meinen Geschmack und Verhältnis an portionsgröße völlig im Rahmen.
Fazit: Es gibt sicher in Szenebezirken noch hippstermäßige "bessere" Restaurants. Pepe steht dies vll. ein wenig im Ambiente nach, was aber auch eher ggf. durch das Publikum erzielt ist.
Essen und Drumherum völlig in Ordnung. Gibt es nichts...
