Vilja Café — Restaurant in Berlin

An excellent place for coffee, tea or other drinks and delicious pies on the intersection of the Florakiez and Vinetastraße area. All of their food is homemade. Their pies can be very surprising combinations, so make sure to try a couple of them, probably not on one visit though (-: When the weather allows it, the outdoor patio is a nice place to enjoy the sun. The staff is friendly. Connections with underground (U2) and tram (M1, 50) within walking distance. Do note that this is a popular and family friendly place. Sometimes waiting times can be a little bit longer. And if you need to be super focused on a task (yes, it's a good place to work too), be aware that it can be a little bit noisy sometimes. Very good cake and good coffee as well. The interior is nicely done and looks pretty interesting. There is quite some space, because they put a good amount of tables into a small room, without making it to crowded. Only problem we had, is that every time we went there the tea was not the one we choose. We got some kind of mint instead of a black tea, which is not cool. We come here often because my husband loves the coffee they make and they have a children's play corner, even if they aren't a family café. I tasted the hot cocoa for the first time with rice milk and it was yummy. Everything they offer is homemade and home-baked. Nevertheless, they put too much sugar to the treats that you can't eat them completely, you have to share. The only suggestion we have and it's from our gum's perspective, is to sweet them...
