Mensa FU II — Restaurant in Berlin

I dont know who came up with the idea that mensas can be good. They are not. Never. The truth of that is settled somewhere in between a way too low budget and an employment policy that presumes contempt for life, especially human life. In that way the FU Mensa is fine example. Some day i go there to treat myself with a cubical block of pasta or i surprise myself by trying to distinguish mashed potatoes and sauerkraut (spoiler: you cant - same grey color, both without taste or smell). I have to admit they follow a consistent logic: they seemingly use no spices at all but put tasteless pepper on each table. They did nothing wrong on the salt, even though i am sure they tried. I heard it's good for stealing Leinöl though. Actually can recommend the curry wurst and potato salad. Love this...

Cool in general. Thank your for lots of vegetarian options (not that much vegan tho). But why do you have so much spicy dishes lately. I understand everyone has their own preferences in food but three out of four dishes and either with chily or curry. An sich ist es immer nett in die Mensa zu gehen. Leider werden die Hauptspeisen zunehmend schlechter. Ersteinmal gibt es nur an zwei Tagen in der Woche Fleischgerichte, dann aber jeweils mehrere? Statt einfach jeden Tag eins. Des Weiteren Sind die Vegetarischen Gerichte entweder preislich dermaßen überzogen dass es in Richtung Wucher geht (7€ für einen Burger mit sehr minderwertigen Zutaten) oder die Zutaten sind einfach nur wahllos zusammengewürfelt. Es wäre sehr schön, wenn, statt fragwürdigen Neukreationen auf einfache Gerichte zurückgegriffen werden würde… Es wäre auch sehr schön wenn es Gerichte gäbe, wo selber ausgesucht werden kann ob veggie oder nicht.. (bspw. würde ich gerne Nudeln essen, wenn es aber dazu dann „Veganen Käseschmelz“ gibt der an Karosseriedichtmasse erinnert, nein Danke! Wenn ihr schon kein Essen für alle machen wollt, dann bietet wenigstens die Möglichkeit weniger Semesterbeitrag zu zahlen wenn man eure aufgezwungenen Leistungen nicht...
