Waldhütte — Restaurant in Berlin

After a bike tour around and to the Tegeler stream, we wanted to eat something warm, tasty, nutritious, and fresh. Sadly, we had none of the above mentioned except for the warm food. I ordered a tomato soup and it tasted like canned tomato soup warmed on the stove: sugary, artificial and no real tomato flavor at all. The others ordered spaghetti, salad and meatballs... I am not going to waste my time describing the terrible culinary experiences we all had that day. By "we" I mean 8 people. And the worst part of all is that it is one of the two only eating places visitors have around the Tegeler stream. I am giving it one star because otherwise I am not allowed to...

ACHTUNG: Professionalität ist hier fehl am Platz. Ich hatte am 09.09.24 telefonisch eine Reservierung für den 22.09.2024 für 15 Personen aufgegeben. Es sollte eine nachträgliche Feier für den Geburtstag meiner Frau werden. Ich hatte auch mehrmals Kontakt mit der zuständigen Person am Telefon. Am 15.09.24 war ich dann an einem Sonntag vor Ort und habe mich persönlich nochmal erkundigt und mir das "Brunch-Menü" zeigen lassen. Die Preise pro Kopf habe ich dann mit dem Betreiber beschlossen und von 10 bis 14 Uhr wurde die Uhrzeit bestätigt. Natürlich habe ich für den 22.09 dann fest bzw. verbindlich gebucht. Am 22.09 fuhren wir mit 15 Personen hin von Rudow zur Waldhütte am See und standen plötzlich vor verschlossenen Türen. Mein Sohn ist dafür extra mit seiner Familie von Greifswald hierhin angereist und andere Freunde kamen aus klein Machnow. Sauer ruf ich beim Betreiber an und fragte nach, wieso und weshalb das Lokal geschlossen war. Vom Betreiber kam eine dreiste Antwort mit der Begründung, dass in der Küche keine Gasflaschen vorhanden seien und er dadurch heute geschlossen hat. Auf meine Frage hin, wieso es keine rechtzeitige Absage von ihm gab,( man bedenke vom 09.09 bis 22.09 hatte er Zeit), hat er mich am Telefon noch beschimpft, dass ich mich nicht so anstellen und nicht so aufregen soll. Staff is nice and friendly. My experience with the food was not something to remember. Our pasta was really cold and then probably microwave heated. The Entrecote looked like a homemade flat steak, not even 1cm high. For vegetarians there us nothing besides soup or salad.
