China Restaurant Peking Ente Haus — Restaurant in Bonn

Wow! As a Chinese American who grew up in LA, I know good Chinese food. Since coming here to Germany, I eat Chinese maybe once a year because it is hard to find someplace which is as good as home. Coming to a place called Peking Ente, I did not have high expectations. They blew me away! I have only had a good duck once in Beijing about 15 years ago and since have rarely ordered duck because here, they tend to be deep fried, dry and smelly. I ordered something off menu (a pork, tofu and wood ear dish with bak choi and my husband ordered duck since he does not have the same reservations as I do . I had some of my husband's duck and it was seriously the best I have had since my visit to Beijing. The meat was tender, the skin crisp and none of that old duck smell! It was GREAT! Also, my dish was also amazing! Just tell him you want something more Chinese and he will recommend something off Menu. You can tell that the owners of the restaurant are into quality. All the vegatables were Fresh and crisp, the meats were fresh and I am just so happy that our friends took us there. Now I just wish they would move to...

EDIT am 20.03.22: Leider gehe ich von 5 Sternen wegen der Bewertung unten auf 3 Sterne runter. Das Essen war immer wenn ich bestellt habe zügig von netten Menschen da und sehr lecker. ABER: Heute wollte ich was zum bringen bestellen im Wert von knapp unter 20,-€ Entfernung vom Laden zu mir ca.1,8 km. Plötzlich soll ich zusätzlich 2,-€ Spritgeld bezahlen?! Habe ich abgelehnt und wo anders bestellt. So wird man seine Kunden los, denn ich habe/hatte schon regelmäßig bestellt. Es geht mir nicht um die 2,-€ ( bin auch recht spendabel mit dem Trinkgeld), jedoch empfinde ich das als nicht gerechtfertigt und nicht schlau vom Inhaber. Schade ist auch das mir bei den letzten Bestellungen wenn ich nur Ente mit Soße ohne Beilage zusätzlich zu anderen Gerichten bestellte, plötzlich als volles Gericht bezahlen musste. Im Gegensatz zu vorherigen Bestellungen wo ich zwar nicht günstig aber immerhin nur die Ente mit Soße bezahlen musste.

Die untere Bewertung sind mir 5 Sterne+ wert. Denn das Essen ist sehr gut.

Das Essen "knusprige Pekingente" war wirklich noch knusprig und heiß. Das Gemüse wie gewünscht ohne Paprika nicht stark gewürzt. Das mitgelieferte Sambal Olek war da super. Finde ich viel besser, so kann man sich seinen eigenen Schärfegrad wählen. Die Pekingsuppe sehr lecker und auch noch heiß. Insgesamt sehr, sehr lecker und 100% weiter...

Feels like a hidden gem. It's a little bit out of town, but surely worth the visit! Roasted duck was fantastic, the owner was really friendly and since we're new in town, he was sharing a lot of info and tips! What bonus! Service was fantastic and reasonably priced! Will surely go back and highly recommended to those who wanna feel...
