The hotel is located in the centre of Coesfeld in a pedestrian area but you can drive to it. There are very few parking spaces for the hotel which are through a very narrow archway so if you have a very large car you might want a friend to watch you through! Otherwise there is some paid parking outside the hotel with limited stay.|The room was nice - spacious, clean, well decorated and comfortable. The only downside was that it was very hot and no aircon is fitted so it was rather stuffy. I had a room that faced the street but it was not too noisy. One other small point - it would be nice to fit net curtains so that the windows can be open but still maintain some privacy. Instead, as is typical in Germany, retractable metal shutters are fitted and there are no curtains.|Free wifi is throughout and worked very well with good speed - enough to watch Netflix!|The restaurant is very good with great choice and tasty food at reasonable prices.|Breakfast was also excellent with plenty of choice.|Staff were all very cheerful, friendly and helpful.|Room rates were also very good. Next to St. James or Jakobikirche in the heart of Coesfeld, this spot is for whom the bell tolls. It's on the St. James trail, pilgrims started here and walked to Portugal so what a perfect spot for one of the best hotels in Coesfeld. Great food, definitely the best breakfast buffet and luxurious outdoor seating. The hotel is one of three spots in Coesfeld I'd recommend, this one has always been my favorite because of the name. Reminds me of David Hasselhoff and Baywatch, my hometown beaches back in California, and he brought down the Berlin Wall single handedly. But I digress, I really love their beds and bedding, the rooms are small and the church bells mean you don't have to set your alarm clocks. The employees and owners are proper and well dressed, very clean. Playground close for kids, shopping and family atmosphere.
