Update: Owners try to tune their review scores by sending a lawyer after all reviews that score too low. Very poor business practice and ethics!

One of those places catering more to instagrammers rather than foodies. The food is lacking quality and skills, and the coffee is poor.

Enter Caprista, the Amalfi Coast-themed café that serves up a mixture of dishes with Italian and Turkish (why!?) touches. The concept and idea is refreshing and colorful, and certainly bigger investments were made in design, tableware, wash rooms and social media.

But one would have preferred seeing those funds flow into actual culinary craftsmanship and palate-pleasing efforts: the coffee is a no-go both in terms of quality and barista skills. The Golden Milk lacks finesse and is one-dimensional. The sauce hollandaise is a prefabricated convenience product and one is searching for the spinach in the Italian egg scramble.

On the up side, the croissant is an actual Italian brioche and presented nicely. Sadly here too, the pistachio and dulce de leche sauces are from the lower quality end of the convenience shelf.

It’s early days, so hope is there that this pretty café will be elevated to a brunch experience that lives up to its design.

But for now, this place is nicer to your camera than your stomach. And the prices are just too...

The atmosphere was great and the staffs were friendly. However, the food and drinks were just ordinary in our opinion. We had the berry and the green smoothies. They were okay but not as flavorful or refreshing as expected. The egg benedict one with beef bacon and one with truffle. We both agreed the beef one had more flavor than the truffle one. The truffle was nice but the flavor was quite plain. Two smoothies and two egg Benedict costed almost 50€.

I was there on June 18 and shared my dining experience with this review. On July 19th, I received an email from Google. That email asked me to provide proof such as payment record because they received a compliment saying that I was never a customer and my review violated their right. I have to send the credit card record to Google. Otherwise Google will remove my review.

Maybe instead of sending a complaint with reference to law, use the time and money on improving the food and drinks. Or just simply respect that everyone has different taste when it...

Hip breakfast place, which attracts a large young lively crowd. No reservations possible on weekends, but I was given a table within 5 minutes waiting time. Staff was very friendly. The food is what you will typically find at hip breakfast places these days (poached eggs, avocado, pancakes, porridge etc.). It was good, but yet not special and still a little overpriced for what you get. Also maybe it's better go on a week day, as it was very packed and noisy and you may sit very close to others as they squeeze a lot...

As a group of 10 persons, it was not easy to find a last minute brunch spot. But the people at Café Caprista gave us the best seat in the house. They brought out extra chairs to seat all of us on their terrace. I’m not sure if it was because of all the mimosa’s, but the staff was really friendly and food was great. I had eggs (bio) with salmon and dille, finished with a side of mashed avocado. The waiters were quick to serve us and they even gave us Limoncello shots on the house. Highly recommend to brunch here!
