We found Stadtkeller through a Google search on our first night in Dachau and had a wonderful time! We don’t speak German, so we were a little worried about how we would order food, but our worries vanished as soon as we stepped into the beer garden! The chef at the outside grill could tell we were tourists and started speaking to us in English and when he found out it was our first day in Germany, he provided menu recommendations and found a someone to seat us. Our server was amazing and provided fast and friendly service. Most importantly, the food and the beer were delicious! We ordered the bratwurst with potato salad, Wiener Schnitzel, spareribs and souvlaki (grilled items only available during the summer months) and we drank helles bier which was light and delicious! 5 stars for being tourist-friendly, providing excellent service, and serving delicious and reasonably priced food! Please note: this is a CASH ONLY establishment.

Schon der Eingangsbereich des Lokals war nicht besonders einladend. Da wir aber hungrig waren gingen wir hinein. Beim Eintreten kam uns schon ein fischiger Geruch nach altem Friteusenfett entgegen. Die Bedienung war aber sehr freundlich und bat uns in ein Nebenzimmer. Die Getränke kamen flott und auch das Essen ließ nicht lange auf sich warten. Die Schnitzel waren sehr groß. Salat war nichts besonderes und etwas geschmacklos. Der Schweinebraten war weich und die Portion groß. Jedoch hat das Fleisch an einigen Stellen einen sehr starken Geschmack nach Fisch gehabt und war augenscheinlich auch schon angetrocknet. Die Knödel waren leider hart. Dieses Essen wirkte wie vom Vortag und nicht frisch zubereitet. Im Großen und Ganzen war die Qualität des Essens nicht besonders gut und das Lokal macht nicht den Eindruck als ob sich dort sehr viele Touristen hinverirren.

Der Seelachs war ebenso gut zubereitet und schmeckt zusammen mit der Remoulade wie ein sehr leckeres Fischstäbchen. Geschmacklich war beides 4/5, Preis-/Leistung 5/5! Die Bedienung war freundlich aber das essen kam leider nicht Zeitgleich. Zwischen Schnitzel und Fisch lagen mehr als 5 Minuten. Gezahlt werden, konnte leider nur Bar. Parkplätze sind recht spärlich vorhanden aber in der Seitenstrasse die zu dieser Lokalität führt, findet sich schon Plätze.

We traveled from the U.S. to Munich and took a day trip to Dachau to visit the historical memorial. We’re so glad we chose to eat at this charming little spot—it had a cozy, welcoming feel that made us feel right at home. A kind gentleman, who didn’t even work there, generously helped us translate the menu and was incredibly patient and friendly. We highly recommend the Schnitzel “Wiener Art” with pommes and salad—it was absolutely delicious! The portions were huge, definitely enough to share between two people. A wonderful dining...

Brilliant genuine delicious and absolutely SUPERB service from the Raven haired waitress who I must say have the best service I've had in a long time.
