Brasserie Amelie - Deggendorf — Restaurant in Deggendorf

We ordered Caesar salad as an item in our order, there was an insect in the salad, but we did not make it a serious issue and we ate the salad still, when the waitress came to collect our dishes from the table, we just mentioned casually that there was an insect, she did not react much, no apology on behalf of the restaurant, no reduction in our payment, as if nothing happened. I ate in this restaurant many times and some waitress definitely recognise me, but after this bad experience and this unfriendly and unprofessional service, I will not go there and I hope there is no chance in future I have to visit this restaurant because of any plans made by some colleagues, friends or acquaintances. Insect in the salad was not the issue, it can happen to anyone, but the unprofessional service and not even a sorry or not even any type of compensation was THE issue. Changed my 5 stars until now...

Great location. Ok breakfast. Good service.

For a change we tent to Brasserie Amelie, Cafe Wiedemann opens only at 1000.

The scrambled egg portion appears from very small eggs, as a result the ham in it was also little. Every other place in town serves a better portion. The bread basket however aims to compensate for it.

Worse was the croissant, small and of mediocre quality.

Coffee was ok.

The atmosphere is ok, attempts are made to give this a cheap(ish) french touch. Worst are the very small stone top tables.

As a result, value for money not so wow and this will certainly not be one of our more frequented breakfast places. We tend to go at least once if not twice a week the...

IMPORTANT INFO: ALL EXCEPT FOR 1 5-STAR REVIEW ARE WITHOUT COMMENTS FROM NEW ACCOUNTS. PROBABLY FAKE While the staff is sufficiently friendly, everyone just seems to work half assed. From getting a table to ordering everything just takes forever. The food is also very.... well varying.... some dishes (we were 5 ppl) were very good at least some aspects of them. Others were just lazy.... e.g. the ratatoullie was the culinarical equivalancy of homeopathic placebo sleeping pills. Also as many ppl mentioned before me the dishes are freaking miniatures. Though that's a french thing i guess....
