The obviously bought, fake reviews with 1 review ever made and praising this god awful place to high heavens is a nice touch.

The actual reviews reveal the truth, this is a badly-oiled machine of subpar fast food. The nice interior might fool one, but it quickly turned out to be one of the worst places we ever ate at.

This is NOT a restaurant, maybe a diner at most. The drinks were fine, although my non-alcoholic cocktail was full with ice in winter time... Tomato soup was nice, but we were very hungry so it might just be that. The Caprese was just a plate of very hard and tasteless tomatoes and a whole mozzarella thrown into the middle, one sad little leaf of basil and no balsamico or a drop of salt in sight.

The pizza is huge but on many places burnt to charcoal, it hangs over the plate so you cannot really eat it with utensils, but it's also a pain to cut to eat with your hands. Both of our pizzas tasted similarly weird and not even good. We found out why:

There were half-rotten, old tasting/smelling onions on it in unbelieavably huge ammounts. A lot of the pieces still had the skin on it. We told the waiter and he said yeah, the onion is sliced and prepared with a machine and it sits there whole day or days and that's why it's rotten. Oh okay thanks, good to know! (wtf)

We were the last ones in the section and even though we were obviously ready and looked at them many times, they just cleaned other tables even though it was the end of the night, no new guests coming. Around that point they thought to air the place and since it was pretty late, we froze in our seats because they let 5 Celsius air in for way too long.

The Tiramisu was nice.

All in all we paid for 2 person 80 euro (with a 10% tip) which is waaaaay too much for such an experience. Oh and I had the worst time on the toilet the morning after, since I ate a good ammount of the onions before I realised the weird taste is coming from them, since we were famished and had to wait a while, because they mixed up or pizza order and got delivered something else on the first try.

Yeah, never again and save yourself the...

The pizza was interesting, something that we didn’t tried in Germany before. They have an offer where you can order 2 big pizzas (check the photo) made from 4. For example, you order Margherita with Quattro Formaggi (half from Margherita and half from Quattro Formaggi). This gives a bigger variety and you can have a taste from more types of pizza. The place is also nice but needs some improvements. How you can see from the pictures, the sun was “hitting us”. It’s uncomfortable to stay and try to have a decent meal in the middle of the day and in the same time to sweat. At first when we got there we asked the guys if we can have a table for 2 somewhere where we can hide from the sun. They didn’t tried to help us out and said “We only have these tables cause the other ones are reserved”. After staying there for like 1,5 hour, i noticed that those tables which were reserved were still empty. Anyway, the next uncomfortable thing was the guy who took our order. It was a big guy, we forgot the name, with an attitude that made us felt like we are wasting his time or something like this. He was not so friendly and helpful like a normal waiter should be and on top of that he made us feel uncomfortable, like i needed to order in a rush cause he didn’t had time for us or so. When pizza got there, nobody cleaned the table before and they just thrown the pizza on the table. We heard that in other places they put some sort of paper or newspaper on the table because of the big pizza, so the pizza doesn’t have contact directly with the table. I found that a little weird and not so hygienic to be honest. Even if they say, “yeah the table were disinfected and cleaned” before we got there, it’s still dust in the air…Definitely not...

This used to be one of my favourite places. However, today our whole group got the worst Pizzas we've ever had. We arrived and the place was empty. We were seated at a table too small for our group. It became obvious after we received our Pizzas. Mine was on my lap because the table was too small. Again I asked for a bigger table. The waiter asked the manager but the manager didn't care and we had to sit squished together with pizzas overlapping and touching our clothes.

Our Pizzas were cold, burnt and dry when we got them. There were hardly any toppings on them. Even though we mentioned this the waiter didn't pass on our feedback. We ordered a salad and didn't receive it until after we were "done" with our pizzas. We all didn't eat much of them because they weren't any good. I had frozen pizzas that were much better than what we got today. When the waiter came to collect the plates we mentioned again how unhappy we were. We were told that we could receive a free coffee as compensation (but we don't drink coffee). Again, this feedback didn't seem to have been passed on at all.

Throughout our whole visit the manager walked around the place looking lost and like he didn't care about what was going on. He was asked about reseating us and never bothered to look into it.

Usually, I'm not a person who writes bad reviews but considering how unhappy we all were (and still hungry) it's impossible to keep quiet. We spent quite a bit of money on food that was inedible. Like I said, this used to be my favourite place and it used to be delicious but now I'm just disappointed and don't think we will be...

Yet another pizza I couldn't finish! Probably the quietest and easiest L'Osteria to hold a conversation in that I've been to…so far. The German friends I was dining with asked for an English menu for me, but to be honest, I could've translated Pizza Salami and Pizza Hawaiian myself ;) Food arrived in good time but it was too much! I started off eating the crusts and the centre, but soon realised that what I'd paid for was in the middle and started targeting that as my main objective. At the end I'd made quite a tidy pile of crust sticks. The waitress was quite forgiving of my attempts to speak German even though my German friends were laughing. Good value for money, reasonable amount of parking anf nice ambience make it the perfect place to go for a duvet-sized pizza.

We arrived in Düsseldorf late in the evening with my family and we were looking for a place to eat near our airport hotel. This one in particular seemed to have very good reviews and we didn’t think it would be that good because we found it last minute. We ordered some appetizers and the waiter was very kind and understanding since we wanted to customize an item in their menu (we have picky eaters in our family) They asked us what we wanted to be served first and offered us their favorites from the restaurant. We waited for quite a long time for the food to come and it was absolutely excellent!! The pizza seemed big at first but it was just the right size. Strongly recommended if you’re in Düsseldorf!
