Mezzomar Düsseldorf Classic Remise — Restaurant in Dusseldorf

The food is fantastic, I had a pizza and Bruschetta. Everything perfect. Compliments to the chef ! Tasty, perfect portion, really really good !

But......

The staff (waiters) are exceptionally horrible. I've never been treated like that in my life. It took a long time to even get their attention. Order was taken without interest, and therefor they got it wrong too. I wanted to go to the toilet before I ordered, but was stopped at the door as I wasn't as "paying guest" yet. Only when I pointed out that I wanted food too as I permitted to proceed.

Really a shame, they have a gem in their hands, but need to FIRE the front office staff as soon as possible. The waiters are evening arguing with each other while waiting tables. What a disgrace, they are really pulling the place down....

For service, minus 5 stars !

Would I go...

The food is both visually appealing and absolutely delicious—kudos to the chef for their excellent work.

That being said, the customer-facing staff was, for lack of a better term, exotically rude. For example, after waiting 3–4 minutes to be seated, I politely said "Hallo" to a passing waiter to ask for assistance. He responded with "Hallo," without even looking at me, and continued walking. It was clear we were waiting to be seated, and at the very least, he could have informed a colleague if he was busy.

I’ve encountered rude staff before, but this interaction was uniquely unpleasant. There were other odd interactions, but I’ll keep this brief.

Would I return? Probably not, despite how fantastic...

Food was great. Excellent service by the Italian gentleman. Good ambience. I give 4.5 out of 5. One of the waitress was a bit rude and harsh. While looking for tables inside the room, she says "only outside tables, please" without any eye contact as if she was discarding garbage. She may have used the term "please", but one can clearly see from her tone that she didn't mean it at all. But the other gentleman who served us was splendid. He knew how to treat his customers. Btw, I don't believe in stereotypes. This is just one independent incident about one professional. So, please don't generalize my comments under any...
