Bamyan Kabab Restaurant — Restaurant in Essen

This restaurant is located in the old part of Essen or the "Alte Essen". You can take an underground train from the Central Station or the "Essen Hauptbahnhof" to reach this place. Its the top restaurant that I have been to so far. The food tastes amazing. Its also not expensive. There is plenty seats available but they would prefer that you book in advance because sometimes there is a lot of rush. You can also order a tea at the end. The place is cozy and has a warm feeling to it.

As I noticed, they cook the food on charcoal. So it tastes amazing. Families sometimes celebrate a birthday there. Its a very good place to take your family for dinner. There is also plenty of parking spots.

My favorite food there was the "Shami" Kebab. Its very similar to the turkish Adana Kebap but 2x tastier.

The bread portions were small though. I wish they could bake fresh bread along with every food they serve. The staff are also very nice and behave neutrally. I wish they would smile more, but its nothing that would deter me from going there.

This place is absolutely recommended. You will never regret...

It is first afghan restaurant which truly provide real afghan cousin, unlike some other restaurants like S*DA. Which mostly food sold in the name of Afghans, but its mostly Iranian dishes which not come even close to as far as taste and flavour is concerned. real afghan cousin you can find at number #1 place is Bamyan, #2 place is Khaibar. #3 is kabul restaurant but unfortunately the stand of hygiëne and quality is poor. But so called fake Afg restaurant called S....da i may be can qualify as medium range ...

It is one of the best restaurants in the region, the first Afghani restaurant I have seen in the country. The food was delicious, the Tikka, the chicken, and the rice, all cooked perfectly and served carefully with salad and Ayran. I have never had an Afghani food like this, they are professionals doing that. The service was perfect and the prices cheap compared to the quality of the food.
