We came here once before, last year the food was flavourful and the owner was friendly. We visited them again yesterday, 3 November. I had made a reservation and we arrived in the restaurant 18.15. The waitress did not even give us our menus until we asked after waiting 30 minutes. We ordered 2 starters and one main dish to share. Our food was served 20.45!!!!! My husband even went up and asked what was happening and why our food was taking so long. We didn’t even get our starters🤯 The only response he got was “it’s coming now” We waited another 5 min and at this point we where ready to leave the restaurant when the main dish finally arrived… we asked the young waitress where our starters where and why they where not served she did not have a proper answer. Right after that the older waitress came with our starters. We sat in the restaurant for 1,5 hours hungry until we finally where served our food. The starters where tasty but our main was bland and did not taste of anything. It’s the same dish I ordered last time, that was full of flavour…. Overall a very disappointing experience as we spoke so highly of this place last time. Waiting 1,5 hours to be served food is unacceptable. No apology, nothing. We ate our food and left after 20 min as we where so disappointed. We will not come back here again...
Read moreI dined in, and had a wonderful experience.
Already upon entering, the beautiful scent of rich spices and herbs hit me. The food was somehow even better, very tasty, kept warm with a tea-light and very generous servings (I couldn´t finish mine and took the rest home). Other guests´ food looked delicious too, especially the meat options, which came out of the kitchen steaming & fresh. There were very good vegetarian options too, I picked the daal tadka (hope I spelled it right), which was heavenly. Fresh coriander too, and not too spicy, which leads me to the incredible staff. When ordering, they asked me how spicy I wanted it, and hit the nail on the head, asked me multiple times if everything was alright, if I needed anything else. All staff that I met that evening were very friendly and accomodating.
Also, the ambiance is great. Traditional paintings, decoration, indian music all made me feel very welcome and immersed, without it seeming like a gimmick or "tourist-y", but just authentic. Would 100% recommend. The pricing was adequate, though I would have...
Read moreSome good reviews on Google drew us to this place, but the service and the food here is anything but good. Mediocre at best.
We had a tasteless, artificially coloured bland, red mess called Tikka Masala. Palak Paneer basically was Rahmspinat with some pieces of cheese, not even remotely close to the original dish. Naan bread was undercooked and the Lassi was one-dimensional blended Yoghurt.
The cherry on top of the cake was the server‘s reaction to our feedback. On being asked whether we liked what we were served, we promptly gave an honest feedback. Instead of accepting our constructive criticism of the food, the server got defensive, told us how wrong we were and threw some nasty, sarcastic comments in our direction.
If you’re looking for at least decent( if not authentic )Indian food, look for a...
