The food was okay, but there was a waitress in the restaurant that was behaving unbelievably rude and impatient and impolite while serving me and my friends. As we came a bit later, the other two friends who arrived earlier told us that they found that one particular waitress was a bit rude, yet I decided to judge by my own standards. While we were ready to order and friendly called her, my friend Thyeo wanted to make sure if a dish is made of pork. Instead of simply answering this yes- or no- question, the waitress said to him: “Yes, it’s literally all written on the menu.” I found a bit uncomfortable with this response but I let it go. Then my friend Thyeo wanted to order the classic dish of the restaurant, but he was struggling with speaking the right name of the dish and it took him about 5 seconds to find what it’s called on the menu. But apparently the 5 seconds was too much for the lady as she said: “ If you guys are not ready you don’t have to call me, I have a lot to do.” I told her that we are very ready, then she comprised to stay with a big annoyed face and finished our order. Afterwards I observed her a little since I was curious what she is so busy with, then I saw her taking the order by the other desk of a German couple who seemed friendly. She didn’t look like she was in a rush anymore, even if the couple was also taking their time to order. I found this unequally treatment, impatient and impolite service strongly inappropriate, yet so still don’t want to start assuming the reasons for it such as nationality or skin colors, cause I don’t have solid proof. However, my friend Thyeo suffered from Autism in the last 10 years and was just starting to do better. Yesterday, he felt strongly offended and rudely treated by the waitress, so that he told me that he will probably lock himself in his room for 3 days. I feel really sorry about him and I will do my best to stop similar experiences from happening by writing this long comment. DO NOT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT IF YOU CARE ABOUT MUTUAL RESPECT...
Read moreThe Okonomiyaki tastes really good. I've tried the one with the Miso sauce and it was yum 😋 I preferred the beef better than the chicken but both were very delicious and tender. The portions are not big though. I'm not sure what the name of the starter is, it was delicious with tofu and lotus roots.
The home made Yuzu drink tastes refreshing, you can order it hot or cold ans enjoy the tartness of Yuzu.
The staff are very friendly. I'd highly recommend to book before you show up. The restaurant is cozy and small and you might end up not getting a chair.
I wish they had a mix plate of appetizers or they could recommend us what we should get. The starter menu was written per Hand and if you are not familiar with japanese kitchen you might be a little lost coz I found it somehow confusing.
Stay tuned for the...
Read moreA very small but whole lot vibes to hangout with friend place to drink and enjoy some Japanese dishes.
The food serving time is pretty long, they serve one dishes after another (when you’re done with the current dishes) - also table is small so probably that’s why. I kinda enjoy it cause I’m not in a rush and just enjoy each dish one at a time, drink and chitchat.
Food wise; I would say nothing too too impressive, but ofc still decent! Personally still love the chicken chips salad (fried chicken skin). Takoyaki is a little undercooked, still edible. Other order like okonomiyaki Gyu Tama, Takowasa, Tori Negi was also okay.
Beverage wise, if you’re going for non-alcoholic drink, should definitely try the Calpico (with Sparkling water)!
Due to high demand, reservation to me seems...
