Cafe-Greif — Restaurant in Gößweinstein

My brother and I visited here in May 2024 and I always regretted not leaving a review because it was a very good experience. We had tea (English) and cream puffs, the size of which had to be seen to be believed. (Photo attached) The bill was €10 each, which we thought fair value. Only cash was accepted. Nice cafe with a very homely feel, the owner was very friendly and it really feels like an old family business. Decor is like a trip back to the old days in a really cozy way. A great place to stop after a walk for a drink and cakes. We each had a chunky slice of cake and coffee then hot chocolates - these were really tasty.

Leider können wir nichts zum Essen oder dem Ort selbst schreiben, denn nach äußerst komplizierter Anfahrt bedingt durch Strassensperrungen und Umleitungen, standen wir heute, an einem Freitag, noch dazu in den bayr. Herbstferien, vor verschlossener Tür: Urlaub vom 03.11. bis 14.11.2025. Was nützt eine noch so schöne Internet -seite, wenn man sie nicht pflegt, denn im Internet stand geöffnet bis 19.00. Sehr ärgerlich und enttäuschend für uns, hatten wir doch eine einstündige Anreise und auch wieder Heimfahrt voller Vorfreude auf dieses vermeintlich tolle Café.
