Restaurant Lindos — Restaurant in Hamburg

I was in Hamburg for just one day to catch a flight early in the morning, and had my (early) dinner at Lindos (on recommendation from the hotel front desk). It turned out to be just the thing: delicious food, generous portions, welcoming staff, and very reasonable prices. As a person with limited German I was glad of the English-language menu that was available and selected a very reasonably priced plate of a lamb skewer, lamb chops, and beef chop loaf (not meat loaf, meatier and more flavorful) along with a glass of red wine. Those lamb chops were succulent and perfect, the skewer was rich and juicy and yummy, and my salad and sides rounded out the meal (I was too full and tummy-happy to want/need a dessert). All in all: excellent meal, warm and welcoming atmosphere, enough English-language speaking to make me feel comfortable, the prices were really really really reasonable, and the meal all-in-all kept me from mid-afternoon through to breakfast the following day. At first impression, the waitstaff was extremely friendly and fast to take my order and get some food in front of me. The place is cozy and quiet, and attracts a more refined crowd. I was initially a bit concerned about the sizes of the portions, but halfway through my meal, I had no concerns. The prices are really good for the high quality food they serve. Oh! Gyros here is simply super ....it's a little restaurant joint near to airport and perfect place for some good Greek food if you are staying nearby to Airport ( Motel one , Ibis etc..) Staff are very polite and speak English (almost all ) you get welcome Ouzo shots (for free) and if you fancy more than one shot Staff are happy to serve . Tried their Turkey stake and was superrr too. Overall great...
