I was in Hamburg for just one day to catch a flight early in the morning, and had my (early) dinner at Lindos (on recommendation from the hotel front desk). It turned out to be just the thing: delicious food, generous portions, welcoming staff, and very reasonable prices. As a person with limited German I was glad of the English-language menu that was available and selected a very reasonably priced plate of a lamb skewer, lamb chops, and beef chop loaf (not meat loaf, meatier and more flavorful) along with a glass of red wine. Those lamb chops were succulent and perfect, the skewer was rich and juicy and yummy, and my salad and sides rounded out the meal (I was too full and tummy-happy to want/need a dessert). All in all: excellent meal, warm and welcoming atmosphere, enough English-language speaking to make me feel comfortable, the prices were really really really reasonable, and the meal all-in-all kept me from mid-afternoon through to breakfast the following day.
