Rosmarin Restaurant — Restaurant in Hamburg

This place is a great find. Let me tell you why this place meets my criteria for 5 stars: staff was superb, very accommodating and friendly, ultimate service. Next, the food was AMAZING and everything was done perfect, the gratis serving of bread and tzatziki sauce, the grilled octopus and our entrees. It didn't take them long to serve dinner and the pictures do not do anyone justice. Star number 3 goes out to the ridiculously low price, enough said. The owner offered ouzo and even went out of their way to serve an alcohol free version to my 8 year old, and gave her a bit of candy after. They didn't serve us during opening hours. I called the restaurant at 20.20 and asked them if they are still open and I asked if I need to make the reservation. The person told me they are open and asked me when are we coming, I said at arount 21.00. We came to the restaurant at 21.30, it says on google maps it closes at 23.00, the kitchen was closed. Das Essen selbst ist in Ordnung. Nicht weltbewegend, aber auch nicht schlecht. Den Preis ist es schon wert, besonders die Rosmarinkartoffeln sind gut.

Aber alles drumherum war leider nicht so gut. Ich habe zweimal bei Lieferando bestellt (vielleicht war das erste Mal ja nur eine Ausnahme, wollte noch eine Chance geben), und beide Male musste ich etwa zwei Stunden warten. Das ist okay, viel los und wenig Personal, verstehe ich.

Problem aber: Wir hatten einmal Gyros bestellt, mit Rosmarinkartoffeln und Tzatziki, und ohne Zwiebeln. Dazu noch einmal extra Rosmarinkartoffeln und Tzatziki. Was ankam, war einmal Gyros mit Tzatziki und Rosmarinkartoffeln, mit Zwiebeln, sowie eine einzelne Scheibe Brot, kleiner als ein Toast. Ich habe angerufen, Bescheid gesagt, und mir wurde gesagt, dass die Lieferung noch einmal neu kommt. Beim zweiten Mal, wieder nach einer langen Zeit, war auch alles da, aber derjenige, der die Lieferung gebracht hat, hat mich angemotzt und mir unhöfliche Gesten entgegengeschmissen. Ich verstehe ja, dass es ärgerlich ist, den Weg nochmal nehmen zu müssen, aber es ist auch ärgerlich, nicht die ganze Lieferung zu bekommen, und so ein Verhalten ist wirklich für jemanden im Service nicht entschuldbar.

Alles in allem kann ich mir vorstellen, dass das Restaurant ein großartiger Platz ist, um vor Ort zu essen - Lieferungen sollten aber auf jeden Fall...
