Samarkand — Restaurant in Hamburg

This was a wonderful place to eat. I had a classic burger. It was perfectly cooked and seasoned and served with fries. Everyone with me enjoyed their food.

The server (owner?) was very friendly and gave everyone a free shot at the end of the meal. I don't drink alcohol so he gave me a mango drink (delicious but I can't drink milk), then offered me an espresso. He was very kind and I appreciate his effort to provide me with a free drink at the end of the meal.

The prices were very good (I think he should charge more), the portions were huge, the food was delicious, service was friendly (but a little slow) and there was parking on a Friday night.

We tried their meat platter and fish, and both were very fulfilling and economical. Personally, I enjoyed the grilled platter more than the fish, and I wish I had tried more German dishes. The bus owner and staff were nice, making the experience even better. If you're on a budget, this place is definitely fulfilling. The plates are very well furnished with a lot of tasty meat (try the mixed grill), for sure you will enjoy the food and you will not be hungry later.
