My visit to LOKAL HIP was nothing short of fantastic and the ambiance was lovely, with dim lighting and tasteful decor that set the mood for a perfect evening. Now, let's talk about the food. Nach der Arbeit mit Pferden und längere Fahrtstrecken, war mir heute nicht nach selbst kochen zumute und so entschloss ich mich nach Hilpoltstein zu fahren, in der Hoffnung etwas Essbares zu finden. Ein freier Parkplatz in unmittelbarer Nähe des erst vor kurzer Zeit eröffneten „LOKAL HILPOLTSTEIN im Johanns“ war wie ein Wink des Schicksals, denn dieser verhalf mir dazu, eine wahrhaft HERVORRAGENDES ESSEN genießen zu dürfen. Meine Wahl fiel auf „Rinderbäckchen in Bratensauce mit Kartoffelpüree und eingelegtem Gemüse“. Diese Wahl war durchaus mit einem gewissen Risiko verbunden, da ich bisher in Restaurants immer sehr schlechte Erfahrungen mit Rinderbraten gemacht hatte. Meist war das Fleisch zäh (weil oft falsch geschnitten) und nur mühevoll essbar. Doch nicht im LOKAL HILPOLTSTEIN. Man sagt immer, „DAS AUGE ISST MIT!“. Auch wenn es vielleicht im Bild nicht so rüberkommen mag, das Rinderbäckchen war in einen zarten Kranz aus Kartoffelpüree, dekoriert mit eingelegtem Gemüse, zur Freude von Augen und Magen präsentiert. Das Fleisch war außergewöhnlich zart und zerging auf der Zunge. Die eingelegten Gemüsen und das Kartoffelpüree rundeten in einem sanftem Geschmackserleben einen exquisiten Genuss für den Gaumen ab. Ich bin dem Koch sehr dankbar für diesen wunderbaren kulinarischen Ausklang des Tages.
