I recently stayed at the Landgasthof Schwanen with a group of twenty friends whilst visiting the black forest on our motorcycles.||We were made extremely welcome by our hosts the Family Lauble (Hans-Jörg and Christine).||Hans speaks very good English which made booking very easy and was most helpful when organising our large party. ||The accommodation is clean and spacious, yes some of the bedrooms may be a little dated decor wise but they were all spotlessly clean and the beds very comfortable.||We stayed on the half board basis which included a four course evening meal with choice of main course. The food was delicious, well cooked and well presented with plentiful portions. There were no complaints from any of our party only good comments. The food was served by a delightfully friendly waitress (Jasmine) who managed our jovial party extremely well.||If I were again visiting this area of the Black Forest (the Heart of the Black Forest as Hans insists) I would not hesitate in staying at the Landgasthof Schwanen.||Additionally if travelling on motorcycle then they have enclosed garaging for about five bikes and open covered parking for many more, I felt the area to be very secure and did not worry leaving my own motorcycle in the open garaging.||I hope that I do get the chance to return sometime in the future as this area of the Black Forest is extremely pretty and the Landgasthof Schwanen an excellent...

The owner and staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond every single day to make sure I felt at home.
Even though I mentioned that I was fine with marmalade from the self-service breakfast table, they surprised me by getting special vegan spreads and even vegan salami for breakfast—something I never asked for but deeply appreciated. For dinner, they prepared a different vegan meal off the menu each day, always fresh, creative, and absolutely delicious. I never had the same dish twice, and each one was thoughtfully made.
It’s rare to find this level of personal care and genuine hospitality, especially for vegan guests. I would absolutely recommend Landgasthof zum Schwanen to anyone—vegan or not—looking for a warm, memorable, and delicious dining experience. Easily a...
