Ingelheimer Sommergarten — Restaurant in Ingelheim am Rhein

The location is amazing. I like the casual environment. You go to the cashier in the back, middle, to order your drinks (beer/wine) & food. You can pay via credit card. They give you voucher slips. You pick up your own drinks. If you ordered food, it would probably take 10 minutes or so to wait in line . Tables are on a first come basis. There's someone going around to wipe tables, but you take your food tray & empties back to their designated area yourself. If there's no seat cushion at the table you picked, check the big bin near the front entrance. The grilled brats plain are good, but I do not recommend the Currywurst. Salads were ok but rather pricey for what you get. It's typical bar/junk style food. It's still a lovely spot...

This place is amazing! On a bike trip I broke down whilst at this establishment and they could not do enough to help us. They even let me park my bike on one of their static boats so it would be safe until we could recover the bike the next day. The currywurst was epic and everything was just sublime. The location is exceptional next to the ferry across the Rhine. 100% visit this...

Der schöne Biergarten direkt am Rhein mit Blick auf den Rheingau gelegen liegt also zwischen Rhein und einem altem Industriehafen. Hier fährt auch die Rheinfähre Richtung Oestrich ab. Am Wochenende ist der Biergarten bei schönem Wetter sehr voll. Die Parkplätze unmittelbar am Biergarten und in 300 Meter Entfernung sind recht voll auch wegen den Sparziergängern und Radfahrern, die hier Ihre Autos abstellen. Man muss sehr lange an der Biergarten- Kasse anstehen, um seine Bestellungen aufzugeben. Anschließend steht man noch mal sehr lange zum Abholen der Getränke am Getränkestand und dann entsprechend lange an einem separaten Kontainer der Essensausgabe an. Bei der Auswahl von Essen zum Beispiel Bratwurst oder Spiesbraten mit Pommes oder manchmal auch Kartoffelsalat darf man keine Restaurantqualität erwarten. Es ist ja ein Biergarten und kein Gourmet Restaurant. Wäre der hohe Zeitaufwand zur Verköstigung nicht vorhanden, dann könnte ich 4...
