The restaurant itself is very clean and beautiful with some nice, classical paintings on the walls. The food was very delicious and decently priced. My compliments to the chef! But the service on the other hand... the waiter was very rude. When it came time to take our order I tried ordering a drink by telling him the corresponding number on the menu. He said, "Tell me what it is you want. I don't know the number", so I told him. Then I tried ordering the food by telling him the name of the dish (like he requested he I do with the drink) but he interrupted me and said he just wanted the number. When he brought us our drinks and silverware we said thank you and he said "Bitte!" in a short manner and punctuated his sentence by half-slamming the cup on the table. When the people sitting next to us tried paying for their order they handed the waiter a 50€. He said, "You don't have anything smaller?!" to which the man said no. Then the waiter stomped away to make change and brought back more small change than what seemed necessary. While we were eating, the waiter was on phone multiple times talking to different people. We could overhear him a bit talking on the phone and he was even rude to those peole too! He said something on the phone and when he had to repeat himself (I'm assuming because the person couldn't hear/understand him and said "what?") he said it again but this time very loudly and slowly like an impatient native-speaker talking to a foreigner who doesn't understand the language. "BIT-TE-SCHÖN! VER-STAND-EN?" While the restaurant was nice and the food was delicious, this waiter makes me never want to come back as long as he is...
Read moreDO NOT COME HERE IF YOU DON'T WANT TO RUIN YOUR DAY! Very disappointing service! Total racist, if I may. Utterly rude! If possible, we would give a NEGATIVE Star review! As my husband and I came in to order, the man on the bar was already sizing us up, looking at us with so much scrutiny, and continued to do so while taking our order hesitantly and rushingly although there were only two other customers seated who were already almost done eating. He was so eager to drive us away that he restlessly repeated for us to go out already to wait for our Bestellung. He didn't even bother to ask us if we wanted to take a seat inside the restaurant, or if we preferred waiting outside. A very disturbing and unsettling way to deal with customers, I think. And when our Bestellung finally came, we remained seated awhile because we were still waiting for a friend to fetch us. Not even 10 seconds later, he came out and talked to us with a very loud and dominant voice, obviously wanting us to leave already. Very disappointing service! The pizza doesn't...
Read moreIf you don't like people why would you run that kind of business? It's a kind of place when you can't even step in. Just avoid it and save your day. When we got in a man was grumpy and constantly commenting to himself every time we were discussing something with each other. That was the first bell and made everything a bit stressful and unpleasant. Then they ran out of this and that was because they were planning to close the place. We made an order but after two minutes of this very unfriendly atmosphere we had a bad feeling and asked for cancellation of our order. We were ready to pay for drinks if they were already prepared. So a man who was in charge was super annoyed and started a fight. Then he started to scream at us when we were passing by after we went out. I am amazed how this place can survive. And yes, it's not original Italian...
