McDonald's — Restaurant in Künzell

Update January 2025: plant based and normal nuggets mixed - this is a no go! not coming back! Food was not fresh despite having many customers, cold and old. At least the order was complete this time.

Update ~September 2024: Ordered food was not correct, 1 Item was wrong. Person did not speak enough german to properly help. Also that one person had no interest in helping in any way and just ran away when talked to, telling he / she could not help. The other person that fixed my order had bad enough english that I could not understand what he / she wanted to tell me but at least the order is fixed now. Food was also not hot anymore and kinda dry. We took it home but usually the food is fine. there was not as much traffic as usual due to weather so we were home pretty fast.

Update ~June 2024: staff changed? Something changed. When I wrote the original comment (below) it was the best McD easily. It’s not good anymore. Staff not as kind as before anymore. Get those nice Asian ladies back. They actually cared about doing a good job. Now you have to check everything if it’s correct. Good not as hot as before... Oh man…. Not fun anymore.

This was the first time I've ever been to a McDonald's overseas. What an awesome experience! Compared to our American McDonald's menu there are some similar items. However it's the different items that you need to try and experience! I like the fact that there was a cafe inside this McDonald's with different pastries and baked goods available. We do not have that in America so that was a pleasant surprise to see. We do serve all of the fancy American coffees in our McDonald's however there's not a separate area for it it's all straightforward at the order counter. Ein neuerer großer Mc D. wie die meisten anderen, aber mit einem Corona-Konzept, welches dringend überarbeitet werden muss: Nur die eine einzige Behindertentoilette darf/muss von der gesamten Kundschaft genutzt werden (nicht zu vergessen die Pinkelpendler ;-)). Und ausgerechnet auf dieser ist kurz nach Ladenöffnung kein Klopapier vorhanden (immerhin Einmalhandtücher). Wie soll dabei denn die Ansteckungsgefahr niedrig oder allgemeine Hygiene eingehalten werden?! Zum "Hier essen" darf nur an der einen Personalkasse bestellt werden (dort wird auch der Meldezettel sofort ausgefüllt). An den 4 Terminals nur "zum mitnehmen". Warum schickt man diese Kunden an der Eingangstür nicht direkt in den Drive? Die entsprechende Warteschlange ließ nicht lange auf sich warten und schlängelte sich im Endeffekt durch den halben Laden und kreuzte sich mit der Kloschlange, was zu regen Diskussionen führte bei Nichteinhaltung der Reihenfolge. Die Abstands- und Wegweiserregeln könnte man sich gleich sparen.. Die Spielecke und die Geräte draußen sind gesperrt. Das McCafe war dunkel und hatte nichts in der Auslage liegen. Ein Hinweisschild fehlte jedoch, kann daher nicht beurteilen, ob man zumindest eine Kaffesspezialität aus dem Cafe an der (einen) Kasse bestellen konnte und diese dann im Cafe zubereitet worden wäre. Haupteingang nur Eingang, Ausgang über Spielplatz. Andere Filialen händeln das anders (alle Toiletten geöffnet mit einzeln gesperrten Kabinen, Kinder dürfen draußen spielen, Bestellung explizit am Terminal, Meldezettel wird am Tisch ausgefüllt), und da klappt es auch.
