B12 Restaurant — Restaurant in Kaiserslautern

The food was quite good, fresh and tasty, though the hummus wasn’t very authentic. The service started off great too; the staff was friendly, accommodating and even brought us the old menu so we could order a dish we liked. Unfortunately, the experience turned disappointing when the Schlemmerblock offer was handled unfairly. Despite mentioning it while ordering(as per Schlemmerblock rules "Bei der Bestellung oder vor Nutzung"), the restaurant classified an "appetizer" with an optional meat topping for €3 as a “main course” just to avoid applying the discount. While, an appetizer, two main course, two drinks and a dessert was ordered. Technically, they might have found a loophole, but it felt dishonest and not in the spirit of the offer. Amateurish operation, not restaurant standard. The menu is a hodgepodge of cuisines. Food is at best OK. I opted for the eponymous B12 Tawouk sandwich and was disappointed to find it made out of some rather mediocre bread, which really is no mean feat here in Germany. The sauce for the Caesar salad was actually pretty good, chicken was also fine. Draughty experience because the door doesn't close properly when people enter and exit the restaurant.

It is a new restaurant and maybe will improve with time. But I am not entirely sure where all these 5 star reviews are coming from; perhaps I am missing something. Overpriced for what you get, next time will...

Had a GREAT dinner with my wife. We were looking for a large menu and decided to try B12. It was GREAT! Many options from Pizza, Calzone, burgers, chicken, and more! I decided to try the half chicken and she the Calzone (med size because there is 3 options). She should have went small because she could barely eat half. :) the dough was fresh and light, my chicken was so flakey and crispy it reminded me of my grandma. It had a slight curry spice in the crust but it was perfect! Came with fries and a garlic mayo sauce that we could not stop eating also. We ordered a side of chili fries that were delicious too. We really loved it and can’t wait to explore the menu for other delicious options! It’s a must try, as it will be your new go to...
