We’ve had the chance to visit the Japanese Garden other times and we loved it, but this time was different, we had today the opportunity and delight to have a guide, I personally was fascinated by the facts and history He explained, every rock, every tree, every detail, each stone there is, it has been placed and designed by hand, this garden is not just about design to detail but design by purpose with amazing facts behind it, which made us appreciate it even more, I see it now with another eyes and with more respect than before, respect to Nature, respect to Culture and above all respect for the man who showed us this history and story: Mister Tanaka thank you for sharing it with us, it was our pleasure meeting you and thanks for the wonderful work you do on preserving Nature! I humbly recommend to visit this art work named Japanese Garden and even more to book it with the profesional assistance from Tanaka 🎏,...

Japanese garden is not quite as I expected it to be! There was one Torii gate in the beginning and also one Soribashi (a Japanese bridge) and a lake with Koi fish in it. These mentioned parts were quite lovely. It also has a few scenic spots around the garden. But the greenery didn’t resemble Japan and the garden was pretty small for its full-price ticket, 6.5 euros. Considering all, I would still recommend this garden for Japanese enthusiasts.

A hint: if you go after 5 PM, the ticket would be 5.5 euros. From May to September the garden is open until 7 PM which gives you 2 hours to explore it and that much time is more than enough!

Another hint for parking the car: Beside the parking lot that is in front of Japanese garden and you have to pay 2 euros/hour, you can also park in a parking space inside the alley. Although that is only possible on Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays. Also on...

Japanese Garten is a refreshing patch of nature in the middle of the city center. Although we missed the earlier blossoming of trees, the garden areas and trails were well maintained and beautiful. There are benches throughout the garden. Koi fish, ducks and other birds add to the picturesque setting of the garden. If looking to enjoy a book, take the perfect picture or just quietly observe nature, the garden is a great place for self reflection. A Japanese Tea ceremony is periodically performed within the grounds. There is also a a small outdoor cafe where you can get a beverage and light snack. This is a must see location in Ktown.
