Gourmet World — Restaurant in Kaiserslautern

This place really hit the spot. There was a good variety and everything, for the most part, was very good, especially the salmon! The sushi was not the best, but it definitely scratched the sushi itch I had been having for a while. The dessert options, at least the ice cream I had, was phenomenal. At least a dozen flavors, and all the ones I tried were delicious. Also, the interior has plenty of seating and is very nicely decorated.

The only downside I can think of is the rather expensive price for a buffet, but drinks are included in the price (even alcohol I think). But overall good quality and variety....

Definitely lower to mid quality buffet items. Honestly couldn't believe it was 31€ per person when our 3 kids were just over 11 and they only ate one scarce dish each plus a dessert. It was not worth the price we paid for the food we actually ended up eating. The desserts were scarce and very low quality. The chicken items especially tasted like they sat so long out (and we arrived at opening) that they were extremely dry and hard. Its clean and rather nice inside. If you're used to US chinese buffets you will not be blown away as it's twice the price for essentially the same thing. Food was warm and fresh but all tasted like the familiar salty taste many of us are used to. Sushi was very bland. Though, the grill selection is nice and even offers kangaroo and a variety of seafood. It's likely the best part. For germans this place is really exciting because of the "all you can eat" concept being rare here. It's worth going to if you're craving that familiar chinese buffet taste.
