Pizzeria Ambiente — Restaurant in Kaiserslautern

I'm still trying to figure out why I wasn't told about this place when we first arrived in Germany. I'm a NJ native and I make it a mission to try local pizza wherever I go. I've been let down alot since arriving, so I purchased my own equipment to make pizza at home, however it's always good to have a backup if I don't feel like cooking. After visiting Pizzeria Ambiente I can say I'm no longer worried about it. I had the salami pizza with mushrooms and my wife had the pesto spaghetti. Both dishes were delicious. The pizza was probably the best I've had from a restaurant in the past 10 months. Definitely worth visiting. I will say the exterior of the building is not the best looking, but when you get upstairs inside the restaurant everything changes for the better. There's plenty of seating, most booths hold six to eight people, the restaurant is very clean, the staff is attentive and friendly. Definitely my go to...

🍕🚨 AMAZING PIZZA ALERT 🚨🍕 As a SME on pizza, I feel it’s my duty to share my experience with Ambiente Pizzeria! We had a dinner tonight at this place right outside the Vogelweh gate. It’s right next to McDonald’s. We tried Margherita and Prosciutto pizza and had Tiramisu. There’s food was AMAZING and we spent about 12 euro per person, which included pitchers of lemonade. Theo, the new owner, gave us a tour and showed us the pizza oven. He’s turning the place into a family-friendly place and has ordered equipment for a kid zone. I can’t recommend this place enough! This is by far the best food I’ve had in Germany (3years) the service was incredible, very friendly , atmosphere was amazing. We ate here twice in one day it was so good, we did lunch with two pizzas, my pickiest eater ate 4 slices of pizza , and then ate a full adult portion of lasagna for dinner. Wish we would have found this place sooner. The desserts omg, home made and amazing.
