Food and atmosphere are really nice. But the service was pretty poor. Completely ruined my birthday.

I was with my husband on my birthday. He already booked a table on the phone in advance and wanted to get an outside table because of Corona situation. They said they don’t reserve a outside table but spontaneously give it to the guests when they come.

Once we arrived there, we saw there was still 1 table outside left. We asked them, even though we made a reservation but we want to take that table. The staff said no, because we are only 2 and the table is for 4. So he refused to give it to us and only gave us an inside table. Then maybe 3-40 minutes later only 3 people group (unfortunate for the restaurant) came and then finally he gave the table to them.

We were planning to have a nice evening and of course so up to spend much more on the dishes than we usually spend. But it completely ruined my birthday and i was so disappointed so we didn’t even want to stay there any longer. Unfortunately we just missed the timing to leave immediately so only ordered one main dish. (And was delicious but have to say, quite small portion!)

It was very unpleasant experience and i had an impression that the restaurant prioritize only margin and try to squeeze as much as possible. I understand running a biz is really difficult but can’t help myself to think that this restaurant is very stingy and inflexible.

Lastly but not least, we as guests were wearing masks but the staff didn’t wear it at all. It was the only restaurant in Kiel i experienced that no staff wore masks. I found this is so double standard attitude!

Disappoining, especially after having read the reviews here… I’d like to list here the positives & negatives, so that no one else has the disappointment like we had

Positives: very nice ambience; the restaurant is in a beautifully designed villa on different floors beautiful garden. It was a rainy day, we couldn’t enjoy the garden. But I can imagine having their nice drinks on a sunny days one of the most delicious garlic naan I have ever tried 👏🏻

Negatives: you can forget about the service. We had to wait 45 min to get our main dish after we completed starters, even it was not crowded at all 🤦🏻‍♀️ and they brought main dishes only after we asked after 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ even worse, there was no one apologising or saying sorry.. and you can imagine that you would no longer be hungry if you wait so long after your starter the food taste was ok, portions quite small for the price. At the end, you felt that you paid quite high for the food you had

I would personally not go there again. If you’d prefer going, be aware of extremely long...

Leider wurde ich an meinem Geburtstag enttäuscht, ich schildere den Besuch:

Zu dritt angekommen wurde uns ein Platz gewährt, an dem wir auch sitzen wollten. Dafür lieben Dank.

Danach kam eine Kellnerin, die uns das Konzept etwas erklärt hat, wie das ganze mit dem Foodsharing funktioniert. Foodsharing wird in der Regel für die Appetizer (Vorspeisen) genommen.

Wir entschieden uns zu 3 dann 3 Appertizer auf Rat des Restaurants zu wählen.

Dazu dann noch 1 Glas Saft und ein Glas alkoholisches Getränk mit Minze.

Ich, die dritte Person entschied sich nichts zum Trinken zu bestellen, da ich beim Essen nichts trinke.

Die Kellnerin daraufhin, wollen Sie vielleicht einen Wein später oder ein Wasser oder so? Das hat sich angefühlt wie auf einem Basar , bei dem dir einfach nur auf Krampf versucht wird etwas zu verkaufen.

Einige Zeit später, wurden uns dann 3 Vorspeisen gebracht , 2 Saucen und ein leckeres Brot mit Käse.

Die Getränke wurden uns auch gebracht, mein Bruder, der etwas junger war, hat einen Saft bestellt, die Kellnerin hat den Saft an seinen Tisch gestellt ( mein Bruder war in der Zeit auf der Toilette) daraufhin die Kellnerin zu mir , mag der Junge Mann ein Glas Wein noch bestellen???

Ernsthaft? Meine Frage darauf, ich habe sie dann darauf aufmerksam gemacht, dass er noch jung sei und keine alkoholischen Getränke trinke, sonst hätte er die Wahl nicht auf den Saft gelegt oder???

Da nochmal ein Beispiel wie versucht wird, einfach etwas zu verkaufen, anzudrehen, direkt nach dem Servieren der Getränke nochmal gleich andrehen.

Bei so einem Restaurant, die etwas von den preisen sich teurer positionieren, würde ich es als angebracht finden, die Entscheidung dem Kunden zu überlassen und diese dann auch aussprechen zu lassen, wenn er die Wahl auf etwas gelegt hat.

Zu den Vorspeisen,

Die Vorspeisen waren sehr lecker und hatten auch ein richtig schickes und ansprechendes Design. Hat uns richtig gefallen. Wir haben uns sehr gefreut. Eine Vorspeise hatte ein Haar drinnen , wir haben nach Ansprechen ‚gleich ein neue Portion serviert bekommen. Okay kann mal passieren. Halb so wild.

Jetzt kommen wir zu den Hauptspeisen.

Nachdem wir von den Vorspeisen richtig überrascht gewesen waren. Dachten wir, die Hauptspeisen werden auch so schön vom Design und Lecker vom Geschmack sein.

Es wurden 2x Pulav mit Ente bestellt und ein Seabarsch.

Der Seabarsch war gut, die Portion etwas klein und mit Gräten.

Der Pulav hat dann das gesamte Erlebnis zerstört.

Das Gericht selbst kenne ich. In der Küche in Usbekistan gibt es ein ähnliches Gericht Plov .

Dieser Pulav hier war aber so lieblos und vom Geschmack eintönig , wie es das Bild auch zeigt. Das war nicht lecker und dem Preis absolut nicht entsprechend , da waren die Appetizer einfach auf einem ganz anderen Niveau.

Der Pulav fühlte sich leicht kantinenartig zubereitet mit ganz ganz viel Tomatensauce , reis und Entenstücke auf dem Tellerboden. Leider absolut enttäuschend, auf dem 1 Foto sieht man den Pulav, der 2 mal bestellt wurde, auf dem 2 Foto dann die...
