McDonald's — Restaurant in Leipzig

On August 1, 2025, we visited this McDonald’s and ordered two Big Tasty menus with specific customizations. I added onions, two slices of tomato, and cheese sauce to my burger, and removed the original Big Tasty sauce and bacon. My partner added extra beef and extra Big Tasty sauce to his burger.

Since we took our order to go, we decided to double-check everything before leaving, as we’ve had previous experiences where customizations were made incorrectly or ingredients were missing. Unfortunately, the same thing happened again.

In my burger, the lettuce was missing, even though it’s a standard ingredient. I approached a staff member, who then called the manager. I showed him the burger and explained the issue. He insisted that everything was fine. I even opened the second burger to compare and pointed out that it clearly had lettuce, unlike mine. Only then did he silently take my burger to the kitchen to add the missing ingredient.

Then we checked the second burger. While the extra beef and sauce were there, the standard bacon was missing. I called the manager again and asked where the bacon was. He claimed it was under the cheese. I had to take the burger apart with my own hands to prove there was no bacon. Again, he said nothing, took the burger, and brought it back to the kitchen.

What was most disappointing was the manager’s complete lack of understanding, empathy, or interest. He didn’t apologize even once. Instead, he seemed annoyed and made us feel like we were the problem — despite it being the staff’s mistake.

This was a very disappointing visit. A guest who pays money expects proper service, correct order execution, and a respectful attitude — not to be treated like an inconvenience for pointing out a mistake.

I have experience working as a McDonald’s manager, and many of my friends across the world have as well. I know about the “Golden Standards” of McDonald’s — high expectations in terms of product quality, customer service, cleanliness, and safety. These standards were absolutely not met in this case.

Mistakes can happen — I understand that. But what matters is how the team handles them. A simple, sincere apology would have been enough to turn this experience around. Instead, it was handled with indifference and a lack of professionalism.

Please work on your staff training and make sure your managers lead by example. The attitude of the management affects the entire team. It’s sad to see such a well-developed and respected global brand suffer due to the careless behavior of just...

I often visit McDonalds in PC and what I regularly see only in this particular MacDonalds is staff often don't provide straw for drinks and milkshakes. Even more when I politely asked the woman on collecting table for giving me missing straw, she rudely answered that straw was included in provided order and refused me. I got only the straw after another girl determined I didn't have it. Love mac's food and desserts, but definitely must work on...

McDonald's Paunsdorf Center - Sauber und freundlich

Das McDonald's im Paunsdorf Center ist modern und hell eingerichtet und bietet eine angenehme Atmosphäre. Wir waren an einem Vormittag dort und hatten das Glück, dass es nicht sehr voll war. So konnten wir ohne Stress am Bestellterminal bestellen und unsere Bestellung nach kurzer Zeit frisch zubereitet abholen. Das Personal war sehr freundlich.

Der gesamte Bereich des Restaurants war sehr sauber, sowohl die Tische und der Boden als auch die Toiletten. Der kleine Sitzbereich draußen war ebenfalls sauber und gepflegt. Besonders schön fand ich die frischen Blumen, die dort gepflanzt waren.

Parken kann man übrigens kostenlos am Paunsdorf Center.
