Cafe Extrablatt Leverkusen — Restaurant in Leverkusen

I love this restaurant in Leverkusen however today had an experience which was not so good. In my dish there was a pineapple that tasted bad when I took a bite. I took another bite and it was definitely bad. When I smelled it, it smelled foul. It was clearly expired. I told the one attending my desk that the pineapple tastes bad and it might be expired to which she said I will forward your concern/complaint to the kitchen. I was expecting she comes back with a new piece of pineapple and atleast some sort of sorry. But no, nothing happened till end of my lunch. I then requested her to just smell the pineapple to which she said that yes I believe you and we have thrown all the stock out and only now she said I can bring another piece if you want (after the lunch). Still no sorry, nothing. I am not sure if this is a standard response in Germany or I was hoping more from Extrablatt (which I am a big fan since I came to Leverkusen). Unfortunately, I have disappointed experience tonight, which is in line with experiences made in other locations. Visited the place together with a few old friends. Ordered a couple of the same cocktails, which tasted all totally different. On our complaints, we got the answer that the cocktail dosing machine faced technical issues causing several similar cases. Strangely, we got a few additional wodka shots, which we should dose ourselves into the served cocktails. On the other hand, I personally s similar cocktail experience in another Extrablatt location. The food served was maximum of medium quality. My opinion is that here, low quality is served and accepted by the management to squeeze out money from the customers. Our experience started off great, we had a lovely waitress called Katy who was very attentive. However we were asked to move out of our booth to a squashed table by another waitress so another group could sit at the bigger booth, quite rude but we moved anyway. Our new waitress who was not attentive didn’t check back on our meals, didn’t offer us more drinks, didn’t clear our plates before we received the check and the was hardly present in her second. She also began to stack up multiple plates on an empty table next to us which looked terrible please refer to the photo.
